6’6′ and built like a linebacker! I’d be SCARED! 🙂
There is some religion/culture that believes whatever you do to others while your alive, will happen to you when your dead. I’m hoping that is true! I’m also hoping there is no after life. This life is hard enough!
Couldn’t find a label. I believe its metal. I will take the dangling crystals off and save those. Most are missing anyways. Then I’ll get rid of it. Too much trouble. Thanks Jay. Sometimes you need another opinion to make up your mind!
Gorgeous desk! Hope you are enjoying your work vacation!

I have had luck with…. #22995Generally the items I have NO Best Offer are items I think are priced right and don’t want to negotiate. I actually do pretty well at pricing. These are on scarce vintage items. Not something that there are 3 or more new listings of the same every week.
09/19/2017 at 11:17 pm in reply to: Getting offers and follow through. I have had luck with…. #22994I had an item at $75. No Best Offer on it. Person emailed asking if I would accept an offer of $50. Through messaging, they have a button that you can click to send offer. I just countered his message with an offer of $60. No explanation. Nothing. Just the amount. He bought it right away.
I have had so many items where I don’t have or Best Offer, that people contact me and ask. Even when I accept their offer and send the same amount they asked for, they never buy it. So I feel like I’m wasting my time. So I decided I’d either just hit that button with the offer they gave me. Or a higher offer. This is the 4th time where the sale went through almost instantly. Yet I had 3 or 4 previous ones where I accepted their offer with a short sentence, sometimes long and it never worked out.
Maybe coincidence. Maybe not.
Quick glance. I don’t like the push for free returns. I realize that we don’t have to accept them. It just starts that slippery slope and causes more issues with those buyers that will say “well eBay accepts free returns”.

I’m curious, do you ever have anyone take stuff? Do you allow people to buy things?
Loved the podcast. Always look forward to them.

I didn’t think my post would escalate to this. Just sad that my one good sourcing place was going dark. I did however find another but its not at all close to my house. I plan to try to go once a week.
One month later. Almost nothing to be found. Everything has gone from 25, 50, 75 cents to $1, $2, $3 and $5. Even at those prices there is practically nothing to flip. I did pick up two pair of Bass Shoes brand new. The clerk gave me a sneer and said wow those are a good price. And it begins. Oh well I will always have the memories of what I did find there.
This is a South Carolina weatherman. He keeps updating the Solar eclipse event. In my opinion he is the best weatherman in the country. Anything and everything you’d want to know about the eclipse, he has it. https://www.facebook.com/EdPiotrowskiWPDE/
He also would alert us to the exact time the Space Station would be visible in SC. I enjoyed being able to look up and see it.
New England we are lucky if we get the right weather forecast as its happening.
Talked with eBay and there response was “we will help you out”. What does that mean – said three times by me. They claim they will insist the seller send the merchandise back or pay or make me whole. Who knows what actually happens.
Also, they told me she has to deal with USPS. That basically I don’t have to refund her. I just don’t feel right as a Seller expecting her to pay and not get her item or her money. Yet they put your money on hold. Eventually she will get her way if not through eBay then through PayPal.
I think
I heard wrong 🙁
I lived near Myrtle Beach for a decade. Right in line for the Solar Eclipse. I would have gladly put you guys up for the event. Now living in NH, it will look like a normal winters afternoon 🙁
Does anyone remember an eclipse event in the mid 90s? It cast very strange shadows. It was a very rare occurrence. It was like reverse shadows and had kind of a neon green coloring to everything. Very strange. Almost scary. Freaky
