Welcome! Just curious: why the conundrum about “being curated”? Why not just sell anything that has value and people will buy?
Is the struggle over “creating a brand”that specializes in certain things?
Sonia is correct. It’s nice you were willing to refund the buyer so quickly, but eBay gives the seller much more time to figure out the shipping issue. eBay will eventually send a “refund or we’ll refund out of your account” message, but this takes quite a while.
In the meantime, eBay just wants you to communicate with the buyer so the buyer knows you;re aware of the issue. “Thanks for letting me know of the shipping delay. Here’s the tracking number that I’m following. Let’s give it a little more time to get to you.”
Sweatpants are often pretty unisex. We can usually tell if its mens/womens by measuring them. Men’s pants will be bigger.
If you really can’t tell, just list as unisex with the size. Lets buyers decide.

I really hope smart people in the room stop this obsession with killing off the USPS. It’s never been a profit generating entity. It’s a National Service (like highways) that help our country work.

The main need is to be able to eep track of your profits and expenses for taxes. Back in 2011, Outright (nor Godaddy Bookkeeping) was the only game in town for eBay sellers like us (especially those of us who used macs).
It’d make sense that as online selling has grown that bookkeeping would become more important and normal.
We moved to Wave this year and it’s quirky too but works.

This. I hope our corporate overlords go to war with our current government leaders who are trying to dismantle an extremely valuable piece of US infrastructure.

I respect people who retire and “for fun”sell on eBay. I cant imagine playing golf and just sitting around. But awesome to those who can!!!
We’ll get a Tesla one of these days. I’m waiting several years for the used market to open up.

But we don;t know this for sure since eBay doesnt list the fees. We’re just deducing.
08/11/2020 at 3:13 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 475: Spotting Problems, Solving Problems #80582True. I’m going to wait till the invoice is due and see how eBay conveys the breakdown. I feel they’re still figuring out the system?
Currently, it looks like this:
No clickable links that explain how the current invoice amount is calculated.
