Hey all!
A family member is also an ebay seller, and is wanting to get out of the business. We’re entertaining the thought of buying their inventory.
They currently have 500-600 active listings, and in a perfect world, we’d like to find a way to just transfer/merge those over to our own store so that we don’t have to take pictures, measurements (clothing items), etc and duplicate the work that’s already been done.
Any suggestions for how to make that happen? Is it possible? Third party listing software perhaps? Fully willing to pay for such a service (within reason), but have no idea which ones will offer that functionality. It will be a one-time transfer if that matters. No ongoing crossposting/listing/etc between the two accounts.
Thanks in advance!

Winchester38,
I believe that what you need is inkFrog. I think Ryanne has experience at this and could probably explain further.
Here is how it says to do it:
How do I move an inkFrog listing between eBay accounts?

That doesn’t look right. Let’s try this:
How do I move an inkFrog listing between eBay accounts?
Move Listings in BulkThen, click “Bulk Actions” → “Listing Actions” → “Assign eBay account” to tell inkFrog that you’d like to associate the selected listings with a new eBay account. Select the listings to move, then use “Assign eBay account” to move them.

2nd the suggestion on inkFrog. I think they have a 14-day free trial, if that’s full access it should be enough time to get this done. Try a few first to make sure they aren’t messing up the listings due to whatever weird thing in the other listings. You might need to change the names of business policies to match what you use.

Yep, we used Inkfrog to download all the listings from one store, and then imported them into another eBay store. Pretty simple.
Your relative will need to give you full access to their account.

Perfect. Thanks all. I’ll look to Inkfrog once we iron out all of the details with them.
I figure we’ll have some clean-up with business policies/etc once they’re moved over, but not having to re-do the bulk of the work that’s already been done is a huge plus.

Quick update:
We used Inkfrog to move the listings over to our account. Seems like it would have been super quick/painless, were it not for missing item specifics on a bunch of their listings.
The listings had to be moved to our account in Inkfrog, required item specifics fixed/updated, and then finally pushed to our ebay account.
Slowed things down a bit, but we got it done.

So what size store do you have now? How have sales been this summer on eBay? Assume Amazon is gang busters.

Our main store is currently around 1,950 listings, our second store is at 1,103 listings, and third store is at 158 listings.
The second store is just for lettermail-only items, and is separate so that our shipping metrics arent impacted by the lack of tracking. The third store is for “replenishable” and new items only, and is separate so that people who were following our main store aren’t able to also see our amazon-type inventory.
Sales on ebay have been fantastic actually. We’ve been doing a bit of high-ish dollar consignment for a few people, and it’s pushed our numbers up substantially.
Amazon has been steady. It’s slowed a bit from the start of the pandemic, and from last Q4 (obviously), but numbers are still well above pre-pandemic numbers.
At this point, we’re as busy as we want to be…
