Welcome! What made you switch from Amazon FBA to mostly eBay? I assume if the money was good, it’d be worth the hassle?
Welcome. There’s no big or small here. Just the inventory size that you need to pay the bills. Different for all of us.
Im very interested in hearing more about the figurines. I know we have some horses that look like this.
–How do you know what brand they are if not marked?
–what makes one figurine more expensive that another?

That’s still amazing. If you’ve almost paid off the house/property, then that’s cash ready for investment.
That’s interesting. If there are only two buyers and they choose to talk to each other, then not much you can do. The hope is there’s other bidders not part of the deal.
You now what I’m going to ask….why not price the pens high and add “make offer”. Start at $200 and see what people offer.
Yes, if a buyer pays for the item, they can leave a negative feedback even if you cancel.
I’d hope that eBay would remove the feedback if they cancelled before shipping.
Just curious: couldnt a buyer also open a chargeback before Managed Payments? Byers wold pay with a CC through Paypal. Were there better protections before hand?
I feel this is rare occurrence. Very much sucks, but I dont forsee a future pf chargebacks.
This is concerning. Have you called eBay? I would hope it would fall under either eBay or Paypal’s “seller protection”.
We also have an item that was never returned, but the buyer opened a chargeback case through the credit card. Other than proving that we delivered it and are willing to take a return, we feel helpless.

Whats your take home pay after costs, fees, shipping , etc!
Sounds like you have the right kind of inventory at the right price point. 56 items at $22/each. So lower dollar volume is working.
Glad you’re enjoying your time of no more job!
10/28/2020 at 11:37 am in reply to: Buyer wants to return jersey they probably damaged when cutting open bag. #82940This is the right answer. Unfair returns suck and eBay allows you to do partial refunds if damaged. Ultimately its not worth wasting a lot of time on it. Part of the game.
This is the answer. $100 insurance is for Top Sellers.
Elizabeth, if I remember correctly, you were selling on eBay out of your brick and mortar store. Do you still have the in-person store front?
This will be our first home, but it feels like the process for self employed is a bigger headache than being a w-2 wageslave. Two years tax returns, current year profit/loss sheets, figuring out what deductions can be added back to our net. Bleh.
As a business owner, we deduct as much as legally possible to avoid overpaying taxes. However, this may show we have lower income…which banks do not like when considering loaning you money. Its a catch-22. For us, it helped working with a local bank who knew us, our business, and the local real estate market.
Agreed. Jobs, careers…all good to have. I always hated feeling trapped. Wish it was easier for people to switch between jobs without stress (universal healthcare 🙂
As someone who grew up in Houston, I loved living through NYC weathers and now the cold (but more mild) Virginian winters. You son can find out if he’s a “needs to be warm sunshine all the time” kind of guy. I love the seasons.
Not sure. I reposted it here: https://www.scavengerlife.com/forums/topic/get-help-listing-clothing-using-the-sellhound-app/
You can repost if you want. Glad that app is working for you. Are you a youtube star now?!
