Thanks for the clicks, team. It looks like it works. I don’t think the eBay partner network (in conjunction with Instagram) will be too lucrative because the user needs to complete the transaction on the same browser as the link. Instagram keeps the user inside their browser and does not send people to the eBay app, but we shall see! I’ll keep reporting back.
My theory is that people who collect photographs from the 1960s are cellphone Luddites and probably purchase more on their computers.
Filing this under “it can’t hurt,” and it’s a fun experiment.
Does anyone else in the group have an Instagram feed?
If so, please post here.
My two feeds-

https://www.instagram.com/8mm_memory_depot/
I did that @Reto Treasures thats why I am asking all on this group to click through on the link in Instagram.
I am surprised by the lack of clicks on the link in the bio. I’m wondering if because Instagram has it’s own browser, the tracking mechanism is blunted.

Reports are updated each night – so if I get a bunch of clicks in the same day, I’ll know if it’s working.
@jay – yeah I have no idea where the sales came from.
I think there are people who have saved searches for their favorite celebrities but whether they are on eBay or IG (or both) I don’t know.
Thats why I want to test that link. In theory I should be able to get data on how may clicks pass through the site and from where.
However, the great thing about the feed is it helps me figure out who the hell the actors are. I have no idea half the time!
01/15/2022 at 9:31 am in reply to: Venting! – “Whats the least amount you will accept for this item?” #94703@jay of course thats the most rational response.
This mornings was “Whats the ABSOLUTE LOWEST you will take?”
The only thing more annoying than “the question” is “the question” emphasized in all caps.
Then I looked at the buyers feed. They were themselves scavengers and looking to sell my item for x3 my asking price.
So I guess I should be thankful. I tripled the price.
Can easy auction tracker handle multiple eBay stores (I have 2). What about Bonanza?
Thanks all – I don’t know what I would do without this group!
It happens to everyone! Don’t sweat it. The defect should only stay with you for 3 months. No one has a perfect record.
@Jay pretty sure the customer will need to call eBay. eBay usually won’t talk about other customers especially if the sale has not been completed.
@mscellaneous make sure that all of your package weight and dimensions are prefilled out in your listing. It doesn’t sound like this is the issue, but I have had problems in the past if my listing was missing specific information about the size and weight of the package.Hope this helps. Happy New Year!
@craig rex. Sadly the buyer accepted by offer of $75.00 and then immediate canceled.
So he is back up for sale again.
As I said before , yesterday I had end and reposted 200 listings. Yesterday I got an offer on creep bird guy – he was part of the cancel reissue.
But I also had sale from an item thats been the store since 12/1/19 (did not cancel and reissue). This serves a good reminder that old listings do sell.
Someone smarter than me needs to do an aggregate study to is this is just statistical noise.
I was skeptical, but the cancel-and-relist method just snagged me a $55.00 offer on a wack-a-doo item I have had in my store since Nov 2018.
Of course, one data point is not empirical evidence, but it’s been months since I have seen any activity on this item.
I countered with $75.00. I love this train wreck of an art sculpture. If it were anything from 2018, I would have accepted immediately. But part of me doesn’t want to part with this guy.
I just end and re-listed my 100 oldest items. I see your logic but must confess I am mildly skeptical. I’ll report back if I have any luck.
@christiner why turn off your store and walk away from money?
It’s not my problem if things don’t arrive by Christmas. I just get stuff out the door as fast as possible and stop thinking about it.
She’s not wrong.
You guys have the advantage of unlimited storage space. At 3500 items I think I’ve hit my limit. So my “losers” have to go.

Not a high dollar item but I only paid a buck and I think this thing is adorable.
Most Satisfying Sales:
I love it when I list something that is essentially garbage but I just know will be purchased by a Film or TV Production. I had two of those sales this week
Calico Cottage Hallmark Vintage Stationary Set – Open Box
Heavily Rusted Vintage Metal 12 slot 8mm Film Box
@Jay I am feeling the Holiday rush but I have also abandoned many of my sacred cows. I offer free shipping on anything under 2 lbs (I can reasonablely work the price into sales cost) and if something has been in inventory over 2 years and it was truly scavenger (close to free) any profit about $10.00 is considered a win. I hate the concept of “free” shipping but I continue to love money. Love wins.SOLD!! For $300.00
Thanks team for you advice on measurements, listings, photos etc….
Fingers crossed that it fits and he keeps it.
