EBay should back you up since tracking shows it was delivered. I just had a buyer claim the package wasn’t delivered when tracking showed that it was. Maybe it was stolen, maybe the post office messed up, maybe she was lying. But she started an item not received claim on eBay and I uploaded tracking information and responded professionally to each of her follow-up messages on this claim. When the time on the claim ran out, eBay close the claim in my favor with no refund required because tracking showed it was received.
I did call in though, at the end of this process because eBay sent me a message saying that I hadn’t responded– when I talked to the representative, she said that the case had already been closed in my favor and didn’t seem to know what that message was about.
This just happened to me today also with the app. First was with my husband’s iPhone 7, photos uploaded on one listing but not when tried on three other drafts. Even after reboot, still didn’t work. Tried my iPhone 6 and it won’t work either.
Thank you! For some reason, my account had checked the box to give away the shipping discount for FedEx. Strangely, it wasn’t checked for USPS or UPS. Weird-I don’t remember ever setting this up, so perhaps it is default. If so, others may want to double check their accounts
02/07/2018 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Late shipping seller performance doesn't seem to be accurately reading tracking #32446I was one of the people with tracking issues but not in guaranteed delivery. So these weren’t connected in my case. I was able to get the late defects removed by calling eBay. But the tracking links on eBay in my case did show acceptance scans within my handling time so was easy to prove this to the eBay reps. I hope the glitch has been fixed so I don’t need to keep calling in — so far so good
02/05/2018 at 5:06 pm in reply to: Late shipping seller performance doesn't seem to be accurately reading tracking #32202since tracking shows picked up by USPS within your handling time, that should be all you need. This is exactly what happened to me–there were acceptance scans within the time but still eBay marked them as late.
Both times I called, I just told the rep that tracking showed post office acceptance within my handling time. And both reps very quickly understood and said that they would remove the late defect from the associated items.
I suggest you call again and hopefully get a better rep. eBay’s rules– as pasted above– say that an item is not considered late if the scan shows shipment within your handling time.
02/05/2018 at 2:21 pm in reply to: Late shipping seller performance doesn't seem to be accurately reading tracking #32182from eBay on their page on seller performance standards:
“Shipments will be considered late only when:Tracking shows item was delivered after the estimated delivery date and there’s no acceptance scan within your handling time or there’s no confirmation from the buyer of on-time delivery, or
Buyer confirms item was delivered after the estimated delivery date and there’s no acceptance scan within your handling time or there’s no delivery confirmation by the estimated delivery date”
02/05/2018 at 10:24 am in reply to: Late shipping seller performance doesn't seem to be accurately reading tracking #32132my one incorrectly marked as late shipment that I called about finally was removed, but this morning I had two more so had to make another call. The rep quickly saw that these should not been marked as late and said he’d remove them. But I hope this glitch gets fixed, because it is still a pain to have to call in and get these corrected when automated system should not have been flagging them in the first place.
I have noticed on both of these calls that the reps have had strong Irish accents, so I wonder if eBay has switched some call center support to Ireland? Both reps have been helpful and quick to understand and solve the problem.
01/31/2018 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Buying shipping labels appears to have changed for multiple purchases #31756this happened to me last week. A buyer purchased three items. Two were priority and were automatically combined and other was economy shipping. The 2 priority for both shoes so it wasn’t a big deal to combine-though your comment above about if it had been china and a bowling ball is concerning for the future. I had considered upgrading the economy shipping item to priority and including it, but there wasn’t the typical option to combine shipping that I’ve seen in the past even though the address was the same, so I shipped it separately. I assume the buyer put the items in their cart and this was a feature of using the cart, but I Don’t often have buyers purchase multiple items that I didn’t really know.
Yes, it may be a bug since the boxes are unchecked in both single and bulk shipping. It has been working fine in single shipping but not the times I’ve tried bulk shipping. I guess I do need to call eBay but calling eBay usually is a time commitment so I was hoping someone knew of a fix. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Thanks-I did have this box unchecked which is why am in a quandary as to why it is still printing postage cost. The first time I did this a couple weeks ago, I didn’t even look at the preferences and it printed out postage cost, so the second time this morning I made sure to look at all of the options and preferences and confirmed that box was not checked. But it still printed out with the postage cost.
Thanks, but my single item postage always prints fine without showing postage so I don’t think the single item preferences are impacting the combined shipping. I wish my don’t show postage preferences from single item would carry over 🙂
This happened to me about a week ago. Only with bulk relisting or sell similar but not with individual relisting or sell similar. I called eBay and they were aware of the glitch. The eBay rep stayed on the phone with me while I completed the relist and even though the earlier pages said I would be charged insertion fees, the fees were zero when I finally completed the submission. And my account did not show insertion fees.
09/01/2017 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Ebay Label changing from FedEx Ground to FedEx Overnight on next screen #22444Yes, this also was a GSP shipment. It all seems to work out okay but I hope they fix the glitch because it is scary seeing FedEx overnight when that can cost dramatically more.
08/20/2017 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Ebay Label changing from FedEx Ground to FedEx Overnight on next screen #22010I called ebay and I think I got a US rep from her American accent. She was trying to be helpful and could re-create this glitch but she –and others when she put me on hold to check–didn’t know how to fix. Her suggestions were either use USPS at higher cost or try to print out the label and cancel it if it said FedEx Overnight.
FedEx smartpost also showed Overnight on next page
I went ahead and printed it and label does say FedEx Ground but I took a photo in case FedEx does charge the higher rate — over $120 more money.
07/29/2017 at 8:47 am in reply to: Seller Hub New Listings Page Look- Column option disappeared #21011There was a link that said opt out that switched me back to selling manager Pro but nothing that reverted back to the seller hub like it was last week.
DannyJ’s comments about not being able to sort by views is the same for me now too. Which is a shame as I liked to be able to do this.
