I just read the terms more carefully and answered my own question: “Please note that the promotional credit will not be shown during the listing process, but will be processed and reflected in the Payments tab in Seller Hub or Payments in My eBay within 60 days of the completion of the Qualifying Transaction.”
Has this 50% off FVF promo worked for anyone? I don’t see any way to activate it so I was thinking it would be automatic, but I’ve had two offers accepted and paid for and no discount on FVF.
Half Price book stores (a large chain in many parts of the country) has employees scanning bar codes. I haven’t been there in a while but it wasn’t uncommon to see an employee going through a shelf with a scanner.
Retro–get well soon.
Thank you both for the podcast and this forum. I’ve learned a lot and you’ve helped make it enjoyable and fun.
You may want to also check out alibris.com. For 1000 items, it is much less expensive than abe. It has been a while since I was really into books, so take this with a grain of salt, but around a decade ago when I was using all the book sites, I sold more on alibris than abe (and at the time, much more on Amazon, followed by eBay than either)
If you are on the Nextdoor App for your local area, people frequently post either that they have or want moving boxes for free. So maybe check out Nextdoor for potential free boxes
02/07/2021 at 3:33 pm in reply to: Anyone on Managed Payments been able to list coins successfully? #85691This link says only business sellers focusing on coins can do this in managed payments so far with occasional sellers coming later Regarding the listing of Coins, Paper Money & Bull… – The eBay Community
Perhaps also look at credit unions instead of just banks based on your criteria above. They are less likely to have as many fees and often are more local, community-based, more positive impact
Also, if you are worried about being scammed on eBay, there are a number of sites that you can sell gift cards to and then they sell to the general public.
Google some of the points & miles websites and most of them will have many posts on how to sell gift cards since it is/was a big activity in that community (people would buy gift cards with credit cards when they were on sale in order to get points/miles and then re-sell the gift cards to recoup money).
For gift cards in general, I’ve sold about 5 or 6 over the years, usually $5-25 value. Fortunately, I never was scammed with these few sales. I made sure to cover the gift card code in the photos so it wasn’t visible. It’s a risk but so is most everything we sell on eBay. In my case, the gift cards were something I was given to stores that I would never shop at, so worth the risk.
These are key rings. The type is called Horseshoe.
11/09/2020 at 2:15 pm in reply to: error with new listing Item listed with variations may not be revised to a … #83279Thanks for the information. My listing has no variations. I sold similar from another seller’s listing and didn’t pay attention or think it mattered that they had variations. I did change category to Collectible but even changing back to antique didn’t matter–the error stayed. I ended up just re-doing the listing. Now I know never to sell similar from a listing with variations.
If you are using Managed Payments, go to Payments/Transactions and find the transaction. Open it and then click the link for Order number. Then, when that page opens, there is a dropdown towards the upper right. Click the dropdown and select send refund. Then you get to a page where you can do full or partial refunds.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I’m going to do the silent treatment and see what happens. Thanks!
