Is anyone else having issues with photos saving on the eBay app? I go into my drafts, take photos, hit save and then they are gone – not saved. It’s kind of hit or miss though – successfully took photos and listed 4 items and then the next 3 items’ photos would not save. This happened last weekend too so I restarted my iPhone but that didn’t make a difference. Thoughts?

I have not experienced a problem with the Ebay Ap. Has the ap itself had any updates and if so is your phone set up to allow that to happen? I use Android but the version of my ap is 5.17.1.1 — i think the Iphone version of the ap should be the same.

We’ve been taking photos on the phone all week without issue.

the last thing i can think of is an Iphone upgrade. Sometimes if you update a software and have another software running on an older version things can go out of wack. I would just make sure your iphone is at the latest as well

good idea to update and then restart your phone. and to check your internet connection to make sure the photos are uploading. the only issue we’ve had with our helpers taking photos on the iphone 5, was that when the battery would get low, the phone would not be very responsive, so i bought a little battery pack to patch on when the battery gets low which helps.

Exact same thing happened to me this week. I tried taking pictures and adding them from my photo library and that didn’t work either. So then I restarted the phone and updated it. After that I was still not able to upload photos using the app. I was able to take the pictures with my camera with the ebay app not opened. Then I would open the ebay app and select use photo library and then they would upload. This was Monday I think. Tuesday I had the same issue but then Wednesday and Thursday it was back to working the old way. Hope you can get it working. It was incredibly frustrating.

There are tons of little quirks in the ebay app on the iphone.
Occasionally I experience what you are experiencing with photos not uploading. Usually it is because the app hangs during the upload process.
It is very rare now. The solution is to take photos in the camera and then upload from the photo stream. Now if it loses your photos you can just upload again. Another benefit is that even when you delete photos from the photo folder on your phone they are store for 30 days in the recently deleted folder. Plenty of time to get them back if something goes wrong. -

I just wrote about this on another topic. I have a Samsung S8. For a few months I had the latest version of the mobile app with the latest interface. Then one day I have the older interface. Yet my phone says I still have the latest version of the mobile app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.
I called eBay but they were no help. Said they would file the issue.
The older app interface is really a time consumer. I loved how the newer one would let you take 12 pictures then crop them. The older version cropping has to be completed before you take the next picture.
Also when entering item specifics you can not search and enter your own is at the bottom. This stinks for books. The year starts at 1620 or so. You have to scroll through all of that before you get to the 1900s. Same with authors. Enter your own is at the bottom.
Sorry for the rambling but has anyone else been “de upgraded”

This just happened to me today also with the app. First was with my husband’s iPhone 7, photos uploaded on one listing but not when tried on three other drafts. Even after reboot, still didn’t work. Tried my iPhone 6 and it won’t work either.

Ok – so I found the solution. My wife is trying to get more into the business between the kids and dealing with me in general, so she is starting to help with photos. She has an Iphone and i got the ap going with her — THE IPHONE AP is TERRIBLE – along with everything else about Apple minus the camera itself. Go to best buy or online and buy an Android phone. Its great – they are open and you can like use anything you want for storage back up and power cords and such.

We’ve always used the eBay app on the iPhone and it’s fine. But if Android works, then good!

Couldn’t disagree more. I’ve tried the Android eBay app and found it substandard to the iPhone app.
Way to many problems and repetitive steps.I use both Apple and PC computers I like PC’s more than Apple but for mobile it’s Apple all the way.

I felt the same way with PC’s. Everything seems hidden in menus I cant find and I dont know where anything is.

I just got upgraded from a iPhone 6 to iPhone 7. Prior to the upgrade, the eBay app was slow and crashing all the time – on my new phone it works great.
Might have something to do with the slowdown with battery age that Apple admitted to that made my 6 app really painful.
I only use the app for notifications, or looking up items when I’m scavenging. Still use my PC for everything else.

The iPhone app on my iPhone 8plus still sucks. We have android devices. I hate them more. Lol
iPhone app worked great for me with several other phones and this one too, until it didn’t.
Very frustrating. But just another bump in the road…

I agree on the iphone 7 working better with the ebay app.
Sidenote – we just bought a refurbished iphone 7 on ebay and it works great.
