That’s pretty cool, the business card.
I’m not sure why my previous post has visible HTML. I entered my comments on my Pixel 5 phone.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Looks like you guys had a pretty good week. You always seemed to find higher profit items than I do, but good for you. 2021 is almost over. Hope everyone has a good 2022.</p>
Hey Jay, Ryanne, fellow scavengers, Happy Thanksgiving.
Jay, Ryanne: Your profit numbers look good for the week. A $250 sale doesn’t hurt either.
I woke up in a cold sweat this morning because I had this crazy nightmare that Jay and Ryanne had decided to end their podcast. AAAhhhh….
Jay, Ryanne:
I sort of saw the writing on the wall, but was hoping I was incorrect. Regardless, thanks for all the wisdom, and interesting insight into running an eBay business.
I would like to say one of the biggest tips you provided over the past 527 episodes was the “Silent treatment”. For the uninitiated, the “Silent treatment” is when a buyer receives an items and then fishes for a partial refund or a full refund. They sometimes come right out and ask for a refund or may just hint at it. Regardless, J&R’s response is to inform the buyer that they can return the item for a full refund and then go silent. You don’t need to engage further with the buyer nor increase your blood pressure over it. It saves you time, energy and often calls their bluff. What a nice lesson.
I will also miss Steven Schultz’s video each week, but perhaps he will continue on You Tube. We shall see.
Your weekly pep talk will be sorely missed, but I prefer to look at it as 527 opportunities to learn and share with like-minded individuals. I also enjoyed hearing about your Air BnB and video editing pursuits.
So long for now. I hope your coffee business continues to flourish.

I recently was added to eBay Managed Payments. Today, I sold an item to someone in Brazil and I am located in the U.S. I thought I specified the Global Shipping Program for international buyers, but I shipped it using USPS Priority Mail International. This printed shipping labels with customs documents and required 2 pages instead of 1/2 page shipping label.
Are we able to use the eBay GSP now with Managed Payments? I found out when I printed the item that there was something like, “eBay International Standard Delivery”, which was much cheaper, but I wasn’t aware that was an option until I got to the page to print the label. The buyer paid for priority delivery so that’s what I provided.

For store owners, don’t forget to acquire your free shipping supplies now that we’re in January 2021.
Hey Jay & Ryanne: I just ordered some broadporch coffee. I don’t drink coffee, but my 95-year old mother does. Cofffee for Christmas. Thanks.
Does anyone know whether managed payments will refund the payment processing fee if a buyer returns an item? Pay Pal implemented a policy some months back where they stopped refunding the Pay Pal fees if the buyer returned the item.
Hoping my fellow scavengers can help me out:
I know I’m late in the week, but does anyone know what this rug thing with clasps on the end is? The bell hanger thing was in the same box lot. It has the same style as the clasps on the end of the rug, table runner thing, but I don’t know whether it goes with the rug/table runner item.

Grith teased out that, “Big changes for eBay’s vacation setting are coming”. He wouldn’t give anymore details than that so maybe there’s hope that eBay will have their vacation setting do more than just put a banner on a seller’s listings. Maybe it will make the handling time more aligned with the length of the vacation. We can hope.
