Good morning, happy Tuesday! What a great start to the year!
The new spreadsheet is up and running, with all the new peeps. We’re thrilled to have you with us! Three of us clocked in with zeroes, chaoticgood forgot to post, and Libby put the first point on the board, just squeaking past VT to take the crown this week. An exciting finish! π
You’ll see a new tab on the right. I’ve called it “Personal Goal” and it calculates the total you should have each week to make your goal. Aperture’s goal is set to 20 per week, as she logged. The rest of us are all tagged at 40 per week to make the 2,020 Challenge. If you want me to change your goal to something else, please let me know and I’ll adjust accordingly. Please note: if you change it mid-year, it will recalculate for the entire year. I don’t have the time to do multiple personal adjustments. I consider it a win if I remember to update the spreadsheet on a Tuesday! (There are days when I forget. *blush*)
Have a great listing week, y’all. List LOTS! π
Wow! O.O! So many folks this week! New decade, new goals! Welcome to everyone. I sure have my work cut out for me! The new spreadsheet will go up tomorrow, to allow all who wish to join to post today.
Like Sharyn, I had a slow start with zero listings. I’ve still got a lot of the other businesses on my plate. Whomever decided Jan 15 was a good day for taxes was related to the Grinch! Humpf.
I’m really struggling with the script, as it seems like a sort of “cursive” and I’m only on Level 1 of my Chinese lessons (a whole year to get through level 1 – gaaaah!) but I believe it may be Chinese. On the left says something along the lines of “The family under a woman’s care has a good future” (broadly translated, don’t quote me!) and on the right “The whole world is larger than we can guess.” Kind of a proverbial “home is where the heart is” poem.
It’s a hanging letter rack. I couldn’t find any like yours, which is lovely, but this is close.

I didn’t know that option existed! Thanks, Mike!
Not only unpaid, but cancellations on offers accepted. “Sorry, I didn’t actually want this, I was just looking for a better price.” Grrrr… I’m so tempted to let it go to unpaid and let them take a knock for it.
Vintage Lacy mentioned listing two thousand twenty items this year and I thought “she’s nuts!” But the idea stuck and I did the math, and guess what? It’s only about 40 listings per week.
Would you be interested in a 2,020 in 2020 Challenge? I can add a line to the spreadsheet for you to tally your progress, if you like.
Glad to have all who want to join. No need to ask, we welcome everyone! Just post your numbers in the thread on a Monday. This is the first thread:
Wow, ChristineR, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an organized set of Death Piles! Very impressed! I’m embarrassed to show mine! But, this is a Support group, so I shall be brave. π
I have one side of the storage shed stacked to the ceiling, and some piles on the other side. I have the top shelf of the Hubs storage shelving filled with boxes, and the shelves around my packing area are overflowing. There are a couple piles inside the house, but they’re mixed with personal stuff, so I’m not sharing photos, it would be too difficult to explain what’s DP and what’s just in storage until we can build shelves/closet space. Our little home had little to no storage when we bought it, so as we’ve been renovating, we’ve added closets and stuff. Just about halfway done!
On the positive side, I’ve cleared out a lot of stuff from the Big Purge last year, so I hope that I can wipe this out in 2020. I cannot tell you how excited I will be to only have one load of new stock to deal with at a time. I’d like to get to the point where I go out sourcing, come back and list it, go out for more. I know some folks like to have a small pile of inventory waiting for them, but with so much on my plate, I’d rather be in a constant state of influx that having to deal with Piles ever again.
New rules post up. Add information or ask questions here.
Thread #1 is up. Post your numbers.
THIS THREAD IS CLOSED. PLEASE DO NOT POST HERE.
A thread about How to Eliminate Your Death Piles in 8 Easy Steps – a nice starting point for those of you who need some structure to get moving.
Congratulations VT on your big win! LOL. Love it. VL won the year, as we know.
The good news, VL, is that we FINALLY figured out what to do with the prize. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t think of it earlier! Can’t tell you more without ruining the surprise, but it will be in the mail this week.
Utahbill – thrilled to have a guy for a change. This challenge is open to everyone. It just worked out for the last couple years that only the women have stuck with it.
Hausfrau – glad to have you. It’s so good to be growing as we move into a New Decade.
Spreadsheet updated for the final numbers of the year. Well done, everyone, on all your hard work! I’ll be starting a 2020 thread soon and a brand new spreadsheet.
ChristineR has started the new year over on the Death Pile Challenge. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an organized Death Pile! Stroll over to the Death Pile Support Group to have a look and post your photos and let’s get the ball rolling.
π π π π π Oh my goodness! Glad to have given you ladies a chuckle for today.

Last week of the year, I finished on zero again. Ready for the New Year to start! Woot!
Once VT and VL post their numbers, I’ll close this thread and start the New Year thread for our 2010 Challenge. Let’s get rocking and rolling with lot of New Year Cheer! π
