I started selling again back around the middle of November 2020 and have been getting daily payouts from eBay all this time, I have gotten about 12 payouts because a few days I sold nothing. It’s been running without a glitch until this morning at 4:34am my time(central) I got a notice from ebay saying they were sending another payout so everything seems fine, then at 7:22am central time I got another email from ebay saying my payout had been declined ::: waiting to retry.
Weird, nothing has changed with my bank account so I called the bank and asked if there were any restrictions or unusual happenings with my account to which they said nope, everything is running smooth. I told them about the declined payout and upon looking at their transfer records it showed no activity. hmmm
So tried to call ebay but now I see ebay has to call you because there is no longer a number listed, just a page for them to call you about subject X ( you choose from a list) so I click on the subject of managed payments and its takes me to a page saying the call center is down.
LOL, ok I just gave up at this point trying to figure out wtf is going on. Has anyone else had this issue before, does it resolve itself? Are some banks better then others at getting payouts?

we got the same message today. got a payout sent yesterday without issue. guess ebay is having some glitch!

Seems widespread! I was also unable to view any transaction data this morning, including past payouts.

Thanks for that IndySales, Hopefully it will all be resolved soon. I wonder how long it takes for them to retry the deposit, I would assume 24 hours but I dunno.

Daily payouts for my 2 different selling accounts both failed this morning. eBay email suggests contacting my bank. Yeah right. I think eBay has way more glitches than my bank does.
On the bright side, I have been on managed payments since July with no other glitches.

I noticed yesterday that I received a .01 cent ebay deposit in my bank account. Perhaps ebay is experiencing a glitch and are reconfirming bank accounts.
I did receive a payout this morning.

Ha! and now ive just received this message.
On Dec 02, 2020 we tried sending you a payout amount of $164.17, but we ran into a problem with your bank account. Please check to see if the bank account information you entered is correct or contact your bank for details.

It’s 10:00 PST and eBay has yet to at least put some kind of “Hey, we know there’s an issue! Working on it”-type message on the Seller Hub or via Messages. I expect more of them.

I’m signed up for the weekly payout with the deposit due to hit my bank account today, Dec 2nd. I just checked and it is in my bank acct so it isn’t everyone. Hopefully those affected will get their money today. I can just imagine the storm of comments being left in Ebay’s forum and FB page.

Also reassured that this wasn’t just me, and incredibly grateful that yesterday’s payout with all the weekend sales wasn’t affected.
Curious what message people are seeing in the payments tab underneath their rejected payout — mine says processing, preparing to send. I believe that’s also the default before the payment has fully processed? It would be nice if there was a big, red flag or something that clearly indicated an error, either on the bank’s end or ebay’s.

It appears that ebay solved this problem, as I received this message in my inbox a few minutes ago. The payments generally take 24 hours to hit my account so I won’t know for sure until tomorrow, but I’m glad this was handled (relatively) quickly.
Dear Seller,There was an issue that affected payouts for a number of managed payments sellers on December 2nd, 2020. This issue has been resolved and all affected payouts were re-sent on December 2nd. We do not expect sellers to encounter any delays receiving their funds. Depending on your bank, your payouts should be reflected in your bank account in the next 1-4 business days. We apologize for any inconvenience.
You may have received a communication mentioning a problem with your bank account. You may disregard this prior communication. There is no further action required of you at this time.

got my payout too, came in this morning. I noticed they did the retry at 3:22pm yesterday so next time this happens if it ever happens again I think I’m going to do what @Sonia and @Amatino are doing, just going to do nothing for a couple days and see if it resolves on it’s own. I admit I was in a bit of a panic until I saw the rest of you guys were having a similar issue so YAY Scavengerlife forum, lol. I really appreciate all you guys that responded.
