There is felt on the bottom – presumably to not scratch whatever surface it is sitting on. I’m not sure it’s meant to hang all the time – it seems to me the handle is to lift it to move it when needed.
it’s made of wood with metal peg-like protrusions.
I am seeing the “Custom label (SKU)” field on the “Manage Orders awaiting shipment” page. Chrome on Macbook Pro running El Capitan.
I noticed this change in quality about 3-6 months ago. I, too, prefer the previous ones. oh well.
Yes, that’s fairly new (quietly released) behavior – I’ve been seeing it the last few months or so. Didn’t used to be that way for not as described returns, particularly if you don’t offer free returns, which I don’t.
Same thing just happened to me as well just recently. There was no way I was going to contact the buyer to get them to “accept the refund” so the return would close b/c I did not want to alert them to the fact that their refund didn’t include original shipping, in case they hadn’t noticed and might care. So I waited and waited and finally called ebay and learned about the 21 day thing, and the return automatically closed out a few days later.
Note: depending on the reason selected for the return, you may or may not have been charged for return shipping.
Sounds like on your “got nothing done” days you actually *have* gotten a lot of stuff done, just not related to reselling, so please don’t be hard on yourself – just think about all the stuff you can and did get done.
That’s funny that you posted this, b/c I was out for dinner tonight with my mom at a restaurant that had a yellow rose on each table. My mom was like “what a faux pas!” b/c in Eastern Europe yellow roses traditionally mean separation / breakup and it was clear that the restaurant had prepared the place specifically for Valentine’s day. But I just looked online and in other places they can mean, joy, friendship, happiness, love.
I just thought they were pretty.
I’m with you on carnations, Amatino – I used to love buying bunches of mini-carnations for my college dorm room – they were pretty, cheap, and yes, they sure lasted a long time.
02/14/2020 at 8:58 pm in reply to: GoDaddy bookkeeping, sales tax, and returns – a confusing combination #73982After I thought about it some more, I, too, realized that the solution is to re-classify these line items manually as being the Returns category. I’m a small store so it won’t be too much of a pain for me either.
I use GoDaddy, just the $10/month version. Don’t see any reason to use Premium.
GoDaddy does separate out the PayPal fees – it creates a “paypal fees” line item for every transaction. Same for ebay fees.
It has worked really great for me for the past few years. Now there seem to be some glitches (at least for me) with how it handles sales tax, but I think part of that may have to do with how paypal doesn’t separate out sales tax refunds for returns – I may start a new topic on that after I research it further.
I ended up contacting the “ebay for business” folks on FB. Their response:
Hello! Thanks for letting us know about this. We have had a few other contacts regarding this email too. We have reached out to the proper team for more info but as of now, it sounds like this email was sent in error. If there is anything that needs to be updated, you will see a task in your seller hub. We appreciate you being proactive about this and apologize for the inconvenience. I hope you enjoy your weekend. ~Kirsten
So I guess I’ll just go ahead and ignore the second exact same email message I received a few minutes ago 🙂
I received the exact same message yesterday, and under the text “We’ve identified listings that need to be revised”, there was a problem with the link they included, which was:
The first problem with the link is that whatever image was supposed to be displayed in the message did not display, and then when I click on the link it just ended up at the ebay home page. And it didn’t prompt me to log in or anything.
I have no pending tasks either and my growth recommendations have to do with “underperforming” listings, not security.
So I’m just going to ignore it.
Thanks for posting – it’s good to know that I’m not the only one.Ebay only provides a history of the last 3 months of transactions, so no, you won’t be able to get your total 2019 shipping costs from ebay.
You can probably get the report via paypal. I don’t know the details, b/c I use GoDaddy Bookkeeping and it pulls all the info from ebay and paypal once or twice a day.

LOL, Mike. i think you meant me, not Sharyn. I was the one playing “niceness police” last week or whenever that was…
