Amatino, Oy Vey indeed!
Thank you, very helpful. I am going to look for this.
AdventureE, you are like the SC “school” Counselor: encouraging but never pushy with advice, and always very good and solid advice, leaving it up to the person to decide. Thank you for your encouragement. Always appreciated and always helpful.
Good advice Joe, thank you very much. Very helpful as usual.
01/22/2018 at 7:19 am in reply to: Found defect before shipping and contacted buyer: what if they don't respond? #30960Thanks Joe, this is for a vintage barbie and since it already came back once with an unmentioned defect, I was concerned that it might come back again. the first time it was something that the collector considered a major flaw and honestly we just did not notice. We took the item back, no problem. This second time was a flaw that must have developed in storage because it was not there before, so just to be sure I wrote to the buyer.
And I agree with your other advice, thank you very much for the input. Very helpful.
PS in the end the buyer responded about the flaw and as you said, she was totally fine with it.
Awesome! And to make up for my failure with the boots, I picked up a whole box of soccer trophies today for free. I have no idea what will happen with them but they are all mine!
Welcome Brigid!
Thanks ChristineR!
JoeMezz, not sure if I understand what you mean about sideways? Do you mean so there is a wider view? I was thinking to leave out my store name and so on because I noticed that others don’t mention theirs on the blog and I figured there was a reason.
I mentioned this one before but it was so funny, it is worth repeating: A guy sent an unsolicited offer on a buy now item. He said if it did not sell he would pay me 33.00 which includes shipping and that was final! I thanked him and told him that if the item did not sell, I am donating it to charity. He immediately purchased the item full price plus shipping.
I had a lady who wanted to know if the item is from a nonsmoking home. She sent the same email in November, but I answered again. Then she wanted more pictures so I sent them and then she wanted MORE pictures which I told her I cannot do without damaging the item. She said could not buy the item (24.00) if she did not have the additional pictures… I told her I understood and thanked her for her interest.
Thank you Ryanne, I sure appreciate your feedback.
And me too! I love hardware. I had seen your video where you sold hardware or you talked about it and I never overlook it when I am in a yard sale.
Yes, I had the same thoughts exactly.
I just downloaded handbrake… it is compressing my video… let’s see if this is the magic I was missing.
I saw it, it has been up for days. I researched it and I was not comfortable selling an unknown brand. I think they were manufactured in Sylmar based on my research. Maybe it was a failed project…
I just looked on my phone to see what size videos settings are available. It has four settings:
FHD 1920×1080
1:1 1072×1072
HD 1280-720
VGA 640-480It is set for the first one…FHD… is that what caused the problem?
