Thank you Inglewood and SoCal Joe, very helpful and greatly appreciated.

But I was OK with it, it was not much. And no feed back…. sheesh!
This is really excellent information!! Thank you for all your input. We are so new to scavenging and I just had zero idea what to expect from TShirts — I see so many at the thrift stores. I have spent hours on my phone researching and it was a just a huge mass of confusion in my mind. This information is so helpful as it narrows down the path for me and now I know what to focus on and what to ignore when I am looking at Tshirts.
Inglewood/anyone: what say you to these two listings? Could I list them in a better way?

I really enjoy the auctions and sell regularly on auction style listings. I did well with several high end clothing items (Johnny Was brand). There was some bidding but not much and like you I was using them as a way to use up my free listings. I always start at the price that I would have listed as a buy it now.
One thing I noticed is I feel less stress with an auction when I list a new item that I am not sure I priced well. I start with the price I would have listed as a buy it now and I know that it cannot sell right away in case I made a mistake. That gives other buyers a chance to look at it and bid if they want to. And yes, they usually sell at the starting price but it is the price I would have gotten anyway. Recently I had a bidding war on sunglasses that sold for double what I asked for — obviously I under priced but I did not know that as I have never sold sun glasses before.
With one of a kind items, I don’t worry about a buyer wanting it right now. They will wait for it if it is unique just like they do with shipping when Jay and Ryanne are on vacation.
Once I have relisted several times as auction, I might switch it to buy it now to give me room for more free listings. And I don’t find relisting a big issue. I relist things regularly and it take about 20 seconds.

Thank you MyCottage: what are ringer T’s? I tried to google that but ended up with adult links that I highly doubt had anything to do with what you meant. (c:
Very good to know that t-shirts are long tail since my patience does tend to run short!
Would anyone like to look at this listing? It is a Large but I tried it on and it was super snug and short. I suspect this is a junior large but I was not sure how I might be able to tell.

Which brings up the questions to MyCottage: When you buy children/junior sizes 1) how do you know it is child/junior and 2) do you list under adult sizes and how do you list the size?

The car parts really interest me and I am learning a lot from your videos. And Christine your door knocker and panels — A-mazing! And Silver Fox Finds, love the LL Bean items!
Here is our contribution of what sold (these are highlights of the last four weeks): designer sunglasses, beta tapes, bomber jacket, art nouveau planter, vintage tile (they were in the free pile at a garage sale), quilts, formula 1 racing cap, and more.

Thanks Jay, really great info and very encouraging.
bcfol440: also great info, I will study up!
I have a premium store and I was given credit just this minute for the insertion fees that I incurred due to the fact that I had to relist a bunch of items to avoid further damage.
Hi Joe, yes, that was my thought too. I might try when the wait time is shorter. I was on hold for 20 minutes and gave it up. A and C might have a point there and I will try again.
To hopefully answer your question: I ended more than several days worth because I was being extra careful. So I ended about 400 listings, I think and yes, about all at the same time or close to it. I guess when the clock starts again (on the 1st of the month is it?) It will just go back to normal. Oy! What a pain in the booty!!!!!
Because of this situation, I have had to end items and relist to make sure they are safe. This has created a situation where I have gone way over my 1000 listing limit (due to the relistings) and now I have to pay insertion fees.
I have been trying to call Ebay today but the wait time is endless. Having them call back is not always workable. I just wonder if it is worth the energy to even try and explain it to the rep that I really should not be charged…
Totally understood and of course I don’t have the whole picture as you do so I probably need to stay out of it. Love this forum and appreciate all that everyone does here to help one another.
Love you Jay, you are truly an amazing person. I owe you a lot and I do consider myself very lucky to be part of this forum. Very! But I have to say, too harsh and frankly uncharacteristic of you. Just be sure that AdventureE is the right target and that you are not actually annoyed about something else. I don’t know what happened in the end with Auction Kenny but he is gone I believe (check out his account name…oy!) and I actually learned from him. AdventureE is not easy to understand at times but not evil or intentionally wanting to cause harm. Not like that one crazy lady that was poison and you rightly, in my opinion, kicked her out.
AdventureE: It has been asked of you before to clearly state your point so as to be helpful to those that read your posts. I have to agree that a generic communication with no arrows or pointers to the point you are trying to make creates “noise” and is not a viable communication system. If your purpose is to be helpful, which I believe it is, then perhaps listening to what others have said to you in regards to what would actually be helpful (such as concise communication with point made), would make it a more rewarding experience for anyone who wants to learn from you.
It appears that my four listings that I was not able to recover pictures for on google, now have one photo each. That was not the case yesterday. Yesterday they were completely blank.
Cool! Thank you.
Question: Do you know if customized item specifics also come up on searches? I sometimes just fill in a few of the available specs that apply to my item but I don’t customize.
Your thoughts?
