Just googled that site. Yeh, I won’t mention that to him.
eBay and Amazon have many direct from China listings.
I was just going to say – jinx!
I once saw signs for sale in an online auctions through the website GovDeals.com. I think it was for one of the NJ shore towns. GovDeals is specifically for government institutions like schools, townships, fire departments, etc. I don’t know anything about how those auctions are created, but I’d expect you wouldn’t have limits. Perhaps eBay has a wider audience, but, if you are going to advertise and have a local pickup, it shouldn’t matter.
Ooh, another thought, you are in NJ as well, right? Try MaxSold.com. Their mobile app interface is a little clunky, but not too difficult once you get used to it. You can duplicate listings pretty easily, then modify them quickly.
I agree with Jay on breaking up the auctions. If anything, many of the auctions won’t get bid up because you probably aren’t going to get that many people who all want a street sign at once. It’s like the auction I went to yesterday. They had someone’s collection of bar items including thousands of advertising pitchers. At first, some groups of them were selling for up to $100. Then, they got to the box lots, and they were selling a box for $10. Then 3 or 4 boxes for $10. Then 7 or 8 box lots for $10 (this was when I jumped in).
You risk not selling many of the signs or just selling at the lowest bid. Maybe if you chunked it out into 300 at a time for four weeks in a row. It would also give a chance for word of mouth advertising.

I was given a vintage Members Only leather jacket to sell. I found that solds were in the $50 to $70 range, but mine was in really good condition. I set it at $80 and refused to make any offers to watchers. Then, I started a 25% clothing sale and forgot to exclude it. Oh well. Sold for $60 to someone in Hong Kong.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/183932336063I bought this NWT men’s jacket at an auction where each piece came to about $1. Sold for $29 (also on sale).

She gave me a link that shows any offers on an item, but won’t show the message. They know about the issue, etc etc.
Maybe the issue has been fixed? Why don’t you try this link. I haven’t made any direct offers or counteroffers recently, so I can’t test it myself.
Replace xxx with item number:
My parents were in town this week, so I didn’t have much time for listing. However, I had time Monday before they showed up and some downtime during the week. My parents brought some more stuff for me to sell including some unopened, sealed DVDs and CDs. Those are real easy to list, so did those right away.
My total is 20 items listed. Much more than I thought I was going to get done!
Podcast comment:
For storing art, I have one suggestion. With all the auctions I do, online or live, I end up with a few bins without lids. I took one of them for small to medium size framed art. I fit them in lengthwise and leave an inch or so of space at the end. That way, I can flip through them and find the one that sold. If you had larger bins or boxes, you could do it for the slightly larger art as well.
Sorry, I don’t have any suggestions for large or unframed art.
I had another slow week, but Sunday through today has started out strong. I am hopeful.

09/19/2019 at 9:37 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Lava lite, Headshell and Cartridge, Wax cat, MED Massager, Z-Coil shoes, Brunswick crank phonograph #67996I didn’t sell anything that interesting or valuable last week, so I guess I’ll just discuss something with a story.
I had a sale of a vintage table lamp. I wrapped it up, printed out a label, and shipped it out. In the meantime, the same buyer bought another vintage table lamp. I like to be proactive, so I sent a note saying that I had already shipped out his first lamp before I received his second purchase, so I would be sending the second one out the next day. I received the following message from him:
Thank you. Of my 300+ purchases on Ebay, no seller has been as swift to respond and communicate.He then gave me positive feedback for both items. I paid about $1 each, and they sold for $22 and $17.50. The buyer used the title “Father”, so I guess he must be a priest.

A buyer can buy something as a guest, and eBay will give them a random username. If this happens, you should not combine shipments. This was discussed a while ago on this forum. I think eBay won’t allow you to put in the same tracking number, and then you can get dinged by the buyer or just for not shipping on time.
Yes! One of the radios is just a section – definitely a donor parts radio. It will be listed as well!
Week of Sept 8 – 14
* Total Items in Store: 1486 eBay, 3 Etsy
* Items Sold: 12
* Cost of Items Sold: $14.34 + $0 Commission
* Total Sales: $221.00
* Highest Price Sold: $24 Vintage 1971 Snoopy mirror
* Average Price Sold: $18.41
* Returns: 1
* Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: $173.70
* Number of items listed this week: 60With all the listing I did, you would think that I would have had more sales, but I had a pretty crappy week. Eight of my 12 sales were on Wed and Thurs. Weird.
I went to an auction on Friday. They were selling a large collection of antique and vintage radios. They would first sell the ones with left bids and ones that people would pick out, then they sold everything left on the table. I ended up buying one of those table lots. It included about 50 radios for $138 including premium. That’s less than $3 a radio.
I haven’t had a chance to test them, but many are marked and at least half of them work. About 10 are Zenith Transatlantic multi-band, 11 are Zenith clock radios including about 4 flip clocks, several bakelite older radios, and so on.
I’m so packed to the gills with unlisted merchandise right now, so I need to stop shopping.
I tried searching for eBay’s official policy on this subject, but couldn’t find anything. I think that was the rumor at one time, that they would remove very old listings. Maybe it wasn’t true.
To get through your old listings quickly, go to Seller Hub. Click on the column “Start Date”. Your listings should sort from oldest to newest.
Click on the box to the left of every listing that has the “16 months” notice plus any others that you wish to renew ahead of time. Keep track of how many you are ending, then end those listings.
After they have been ended, you can find them under “ended”. Click all the listings you just ended and click “sell similar”.
Before resubmitting these listings, you can go through each one by one and make adjustments. Or not. Then click submit.
Now all your listings have been renewed. Every few weeks, you can do the same to keep up with renewing your stale listings. Some sellers do this more often than others.
