Thanks Sharyn
I’ve been fairly accurate with most of my listings but this one I just couldn’t figure. Actually based on my estimations the box will weight between 18-22 pounds and should cost around $22-24 priority to ship. The buyer already paid $18 so it’s not too bad. Also I’ve been very good with getting free shipping packing materials minus tape. I pick up boxes and packaging at work and other sites.
01/07/2018 at 1:04 pm in reply to: Proper Way To Refund When Buyer Misuses Returns to Avoid Paying for Shipping #29962But since I offered free shipping he would get the full cost back and just send the shirt back on his own dime? Don’t I have to send a shipping label? Thats the confusion I had.
Sorry about that…. no 12 pounds 4 ounces total weight for all bowls together …
I have already boxed the first box. I have a good friend who is great at packing.
so far we layered each bowl with a mid weight foam packing and nested each bowl inside. Then wrapped more foam on the bottom side and top of the bowls. Then used large bubble wrap around the whole thing.. The bowls are snug and secure.
I had a box that seems to fit them perfectly and now looking for a larger box to float them in.
The measurements of the first box are 16 . 7.5 . 20 …I’m thinking a 24 24 12 or something like that…
so just stuff lots of peanuts around the whole thing will be enough?01/07/2018 at 10:11 am in reply to: Proper Way To Refund When Buyer Misuses Returns to Avoid Paying for Shipping #29940I had a Calvin Klein mens fitted shirt that the buyer wanted to return. It had the size and length listed but if also said “Slim Fit” which was in the ad. He said of 6 shirts he bought this size was the only one he couldnt get into..
I gave free shipping and it was not a lot of money so I just refunded and told him to donate it because at this point if I had to pay return shipping also the profit was so small it wasn’t worth reselling. Then I spoke to eBay and they told me I could of had him send it back and only refund him the shirt minus the shipping because it was considered buyers remorse. How does this generally work with clothes?
I don’t sell a lot of clothes and most of the mens shirts I’m selling have just been sitting for months so I’m thinking of not selling many in the future. just doesn’t work for me.
Well I have my money! Thanks for the responses Jay & Ryanne.
Apparently eBay DID refund me but there was no reference provided so it was hard to find on paypal. Paypal couldn’t find it and I couldn’t ..Finally after 3 phone calls to paypal many emails back and forth to eBay GPS it was discovered. They also gave me the wrong id number the one they first gave me was the original sale id.Good to know because Paypal said they wouldn’t help me at all.
But I will say to all less experience folks out there always check your paypal account because in this case money should never of come out of my account. And the fact that eBay and paypal never sent me any email or case info seems odd they just took the money I just happened to catch it…

Thanks so much for that info. I’ve never sold books.
Maybe because it has had so many reprinting it doesn’t have too much value.
I will post it higher with a buy it now/make an offer and see what happens.
I sell quite a bit on the GSP also I may have more luck there.I usually say in an ad I have more photos available to email me if interested ..

09/01/2017 at 2:07 pm in reply to: Ebay Label changing from FedEx Ground to FedEx Overnight on next screen #22447Oh I didn’t know.
I will explain again.I just sold a large print (thanks Ryanne for suggesting I put a high BIN $250/make offer on it) (His Master voice) through the global shipping program going to Germany. It ended up selling for $150 + shipping…YAY!
I went to ship it via fedex and was given a $16 quote for shipping 29 x 29 x 4 8 lbs both for sure post and ground. I even added a pound the box was between 6 and 7 but just to be sure with fedex. When I went to the next screen it also said Overnight Shipping with the same $16 price tag .. I called eBay and they had the same pricing said he had never heard of this glitch but not to ship but ship directly through Fedex or I might get charged the overnight.
I then called Fedex to see what they had for a price and they had double what eBay had even before the eBay discount. So it would be $32 to ship. I ended up going through USPS for $28.
My point being that this is not the first time for me that the prices have been much different on the eBay site than what fedex eventually charges and charges me.09/01/2017 at 10:24 am in reply to: Ebay Label changing from FedEx Ground to FedEx Overnight on next screen #22427My post disappeared
