Bummer. If you don’t mind a personal suggestion, do something else for a while to take your mind off this, try to get a good night’s sleep, then look at the situation fresh in the morning.
You might want to just ask the buyer what they would like to see happen with this problem and see what they say. That seems to help at least psychologically sometimes, and they might have an easier solution than your worst-case thoughts.
If you can get a replacement glass that might be a good solution, depending on the cost and how hard it is to replace the pane in the lamp.
I don’t think you should wait for an insurance claim on this. Pay what it takes to make this right to the buyer then when/if you get paid on an insurance claim the money is yours.
Good luck.
I don’t sell on Poshmark, so grain of salt. If you leave it instead of deleting you can probably more easily make it active again if it is returned.
I’m not seeing anything, but then most of my items are eBay Motors which has had required item specifics for quite some time.
There are no limits as far as I know. I have 3 accounts. 1 is my personal account that goes back to the early days of eBay. I have 2 selling accounts, 1 of those is old with about 150 listings and no new items added, the other is my primary selling account with about 3000 listings most with multiple quantities.
I don’t know if you can sell the exact same items on multiple listings, but what would be the point?

I just finished getting 32 orders ready to ship tomorrow. I have to be gone most of the day tomorrow, I hate wishing for no orders but if none come in yet tonight I have the option of not shipping tomorrow if my tight schedule gets derailed.
This may be an example for the Silent Treatment after initial response that Jay and Ryanne were discussing in this week’s podcast. I know I have experienced the situation where the more I say the more upset the buyer seems to get and have pretty much stopped engaging.
10/14/2019 at 12:07 pm in reply to: Finally used Pirate Ship today. WHY did I wait so long??? #68981I use ShippingEasy, a subscription service. They also have the cubic rate, which saves me more each month than what I pay them for the monthly service.
On a single interface, I can ship orders from my 2 eBay stores, Amazon, and Shopify. A drop-down option on the shipping page lets me easily compare USPS, FedEx, UPS or others if I wanted those.
I switched to using them several years ago, before that, I used the Stamps.com shipping but outgrew that limited app.
I listed it on my personal eBay account, $75 OBO + shipping.
eBay item 293278675577 if anyone is curious
Thanks, Jay. I agree it is sort of cool looking. The top is stuck, probably just the rubber seal. I don’t want to damage it trying to get it open. There is something inside, probably the jiggle weight.

Thanks, Sharyn. Since I don’t have to ship USPS today I can spend a little more time than I though on researching this. I’m curious to find out how old it is. I remember seeing ones like this used for canning many years ago.
There is a System Status page, https://www.ebay.com/sts, but it doesn’t show PL at all.
I have seen some flakey things going on with PL as displayed on my active listings, but when I check deeper the listing is promoted and at the correct rate. I wonder if PL is being turned off and on, or just what is being shown to her is wonky.
Just a random thought, does the city collect sales tax for selling those signs to NJ residents?

Wild guess, used with a potters wheel for making a vase.
