I hate grumpy buyers! I love eBay and I’m not going anywhere but all of you are right and it’s not the end of the world.. The cha-chings will make me feel better. 🙂
You guys are the best, thanks for the responses.
Absolutely! Jay and Ryanne are the original reseller superstars. I’d be starstruck!- They’ve been such a gigantic influence to so many resellers.
That’s so sad!
I’m still looking, and haven’t found any proof yet, but it might be a team prototype. Like, before the team jerseys are made, there’s one submitted to the decision maker for the team to see if they approve, before producing the whole team’s jerseys. It’s interesting. I could be totally off on that but it’s my guess for now 🙂
Ooooh ok. So the “sale event” is just supposed to promote discounts created in the markdown manager. That is good to know!
Thanks for trying it out guys. Sorry it didn’t work, but I’m sorta glad I’m not the only one having issues with it 🙂
“Promoted listings” charge you a percentage but I dont think “sale events” do.
Do the “inclusion rules” work correctly for everyone else? Mine seems to randomly apply the discount to items inside and outside the inclusion rule.
Hmm.. interesting!
Sell > Marketing > click “promotions” (under “merchandising” on left side)
Then on the right side of the page there’s a blue drop down box that says
“create a promotion” > “sale event”I’ve never had to cancel a transaction, thank goodness, but tonight I thought I might, because I couldn’t find something I sold. As I was frantically searching for it, I was thinking if I didn’t find it, I might send something as a good will gesture because I felt SO bad about it.
Fortunately I didn’t have to cancel, but I almost did the same thing (sending a consolation gift), though I probably wouldn’t have uploaded the tracking # or used ebay’s shipping discount. I think it’d be obvious at that point that they were being sneaky and dishonest.
I dunno anything about it, but the photo is really compelling. Gritty & beautiful.
That’s so awesome! Go you! I’m so happy to hear that! 🙂
“Scurvy dog” is a pirate expression.
Don’t know anything about your figure but I bet it’s meant to be a scurvy dog!
Love it!
I was looking into it because of your post, and apparently it’s a common issue.
There was a post on the amazon forums where a woman who works at the post office says it’s a part of their job to open and inspect 3 media mail items per day. She was pretty bitter about those pesky postal customers using media mail for the wrong items.. I’m sure it’s an annoying job, and I try to remember the term “go postal” was inspired by stressed out postal workers lol.
That’s probably not helpful or relevant but if you use media mail often, it might be worthwhile to contact your local post office about it.
It still sucks and I’m sorry. Good luck working it out.
🙂
Did you look to see if the buyer had any feedback? Its possible they are just wanting a couple books for free. If they supposedly only got 2, they can only return 2 if you ask them to. That stinks. Sorry.
