The seller should’ve shipped it priority if that’s what the listing said. At least the delivery time difference between priority and first class is very small.
I try to put myself in other people’s shoes and wouldn’t have been so harsh on the seller TBH. I made mistakes like that when I was a new seller.
Here are some numbers that might be interesting.
It’s less than 12 hours into 12/30/2016 at the time I’m typing this, and, there are over 3000 SOLD listings with “christmas” in the title from the first 12 hours of TODAY ONLY.
There are currently 3,555,620 active “christmas” listings still for sale.
So, double that for the whole day and I’d say maybe like 0.2% of Christmas listings will probably all day today. That percentage will probably continue to drop going forward, but stuff IS selling.
All that being said, I’ve got about 20 christmas items up at the mo, which are hardly getting any views.
Hope this helps.
I’ve learned to not watch my shipments so closely because it causes unnecessary worry. Ship it and forget it! 🙂 If you get the urge to check your tracking, spend that time listing something instead. Just a thought!
It was one of those times when ebay eats a listing mid-draft, then everything was wonky for each listing after that. I’m just glad it was something simple, even if I’m a complete doofus for not figuring it out! You guys are the best 🙂
OMG! I have no idea why that changed, I never use the “letter” setting! Duh me. That’s exactly what it was. Thank you!
Hooray!!!!!

I think they were trying to tell you that they were sad they didn’t fit, because it was such a great product.
If not, at least they are “happy” on the record. 🙂
Have you seen “Dorky Thrifters” channel on youtube? They recently moved into their RV and are full time ebayers, with all their inventory in their RV. They had a lot of storage (and stuff), but got rid of the big stuff on craigslist or selling super cheap, now they only sell small stuff that they can store.
I agree, Nancy 🙂
You sound like me, ChristineR- my garage is (death) piling up too. I’ve already started my “thrifting abstinence”. At least until Jan 31, which is our area Goodwills’ 50% off day 😀
Unless I’m missing something it sounds like the 2nd ebay rep maybe misunderstood. I’d call back and ask how you could have prevented this from happening, and at the very least they will tell you why they consider this to be your fault- but best case scenario, they will fix it. Good luck.
You never know! Good luck 🙂
I agree it’s a wedding vase, but I’m certainly no expert. I remember some time ago in a podcast Ryanne said that if you think you might possibly have something really valuable that you can email the big auction houses, and their experts might be able to help you identify it, but since there’s so much controversy over selling native american stuff, that might not be helpful at all with this item.
Looks like a male Mallard to me
12/25/2016 at 11:50 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 288: The War Of Attrition Will Not Grind Us Down #8788It’s harder to get attention in women’s clothing listings for sure. I’m going to mostly avoid sourcing women’s clothing. I wonder how the teen from ep. 268 is doing with clothing nowadays. I remember that she was doing her sourcing at a goodwill outlet.
