Is this a double wedding vase? Mayan, Aztec, Inca?

Ran across this piece of pottery with the figurine in between the two spouts. Don’t know for sure what it is? It looks like what people call a Pueblo Wedding Vase – but I can’t find any with a figurine in between the spouts. This may just be cheap tourist junk, but wanted to find out if anyone had an idea.

I agree it’s a wedding vase, but I’m certainly no expert. I remember some time ago in a podcast Ryanne said that if you think you might possibly have something really valuable that you can email the big auction houses, and their experts might be able to help you identify it, but since there’s so much controversy over selling native american stuff, that might not be helpful at all with this item.

Thanks for the help. I doubt it is very valuable. I might put it on auction and let the market determine value. I paid 99 cents for it.

Just a follow-up on this item. I submitted the item to Barneby’s Appraisal and the only response that I got was that they could put no value on it since it had no papers proving provenance. They did call it a “Pre-Columbian” piece – which actually surprised me.

So, I took their cue and put it up for auction and was pleasantly surprised to see that it sold for over $100… Auction
