Great video as always! another week without a video for me. Things are just not selling quick enough where I have at least 5 or 6 items to record at the same time. I’ve got 8 total sales since Nov 2. I’ve also been very slow in listing new stuff and assume that is part of the problem. My sales for the last month are half the average for the year…ugh
https://www.ebay.com/itm/194298649714 this is a 1973 first printing of Walking Tall. I got this in an online auction. I purchased an entire closet full of stuff and this was one of the 50 or so books. I paid about $5 for the entire contents of the closet. This one sold for $9.75.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/194063292225 Sony Walkman from the 80’s I believe. Honestly don’t recall where I got this. I won’t pay much for these anymore as most of the time I don’t have batteries or a cassette with me to check them out. This one worked and the headphones worked so was happy about that. Sold for $32.50.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/194439179707 Norwegian Cruise Lines patch. this was a gift from an aunt an uncle when I was kid making this patch at least 40 years old. Sold for $10.00

https://www.ebay.com/itm/193774151283 Erte’ book of postcards in like new condition. Got this in a box lot from an estate sale. The box contained a bunch of paper product souvenirs from the persons travels in Europe and the UK. Sold this one for $12.00
https://www.ebay.com/itm/193853811984 Vintage AT&T branded business card holder with the Baylor University colors. I suppose these colors could be for other universities as well. Got this at an estate sale for $2 and sold for $18 via a best offer.
just downloaded the app with the intent to use it

https://www.ebay.com/itm/194369240969 Phillip 66 replica gas pump. this was part of a Phillips 66 collection I bought off a craigslist ad. Sold this one for $22. Collection was purchased for $80 and believe I’m at around $350 in sales so far.
21 items for me this past week. For a change, I moved my ebay laptop to the kitchen yesterday as it’s right next to the patio. then took a bin of things outside to take pics and immediately list them. The change of location was nice.
usually I’m in my office area in the upstairs of the house. I work from home so I spend my work days there as well. Moving the ebay set up to the kitchen was a great change of pace.
genius!!

I was out of town for a trade show this week. So nice to be out and about for 4 days and talk to people face to face! Unfortunately that meant I needed to get stuff packed and mailed quickly and I forgot to make a video.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/194286776806 Waterfowlers Journal by Ducks Unlimited, new in package. Great story on this…I was about to leave an estate sale and remembered I needed to start tracking mileage. I saw this journal still wrapped and as it was sunday afternoon and the place was well picked through I figured it would be a dollar at most. They wanted four bucks but cooler heads prevailed and I paid a dollar. I got in the car and was about to open it but thought maybe I should check ebay first and thank the Lord I did! Very hard to find item and one comparable was up for sale for $90! I sold this through a best offer of $65!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/194195272783 Scotties guide to Bauernmalerei (no idea how to say that word). Bought for a dollar and sold for $11.25

another law book from my auction buy from last year. This one sold for $45. Cost is maybe 50 cents. That couple bins of books was the gift that keeps on givinghttps://www.ebay.com/itm/194337006128 Weather Alert Radio new in package
picked this up at an estate sale, paid a few dollars and sold for $14.50no offense intended. I’m 6’2″ and even a 34″ inseam is a bit short. but yeah, a 36″ waste is not really big is it??
09/20/2021 at 11:35 pm in reply to: VHS tape, Penncrest stereo, Telefunken FM decoder, Hood latch #93179I’ve started looking through craigslist and FB marketplace based on your success. I’m trying to focus on looking for collections of things, like the Phillips 66 memorabilia I bought from a craigslist ad a few months back. Spent $80, so far have made about $160 after fees (so have cleared $80 in profit) and still have another $550 or so in items listed with a few things still to list. I’m liking that ROI and would love to repeat if possible 🙂
17 items for me. really good week for listing and then for sales. I made two videos this week of what sold (the second will go up tomorrow)
HOW I LIST:
If it’s single item things I’ve bought, then I’ve probably already done the main research before buying (like standing around at an estate sale looking stuff up on my phone).
or
If it’s an auction lot (like the ridiculous closet full of books and magazines I recently purchased) I’ll get it all home and then start going through it. In those instances, when ready, I try to go through and find 8 to 10 things worth listing. So now I’ve hopefully got 8 to 10 things ready for pics. I’ll take pics of all of it at the same time.
Then when I’ve got time to list I’ll upload the pics to my laptop and do my listings. I generally will do my ebay research again checking “sold” comps as I do each item. At that point I can probably knock out listing an item every 5 to 10mins.
but adding up all the time for each part of the process I’d say it’s probably 15 to 20min per item. Some maybe a bit more.
10 listings for me this past week. it helped that a few were items that I had multiples on, sold one last week and relisted the next one.
popeyespostcards….thanks for the response to my question. I figured that info had to be there somewhere but never knew where to look before!

well I had a pretty good week with 12 listings. very busy week at work. I work from home and felt like I was sitting at my computer for 10 to 12hrs a day last week. I went to a few estate sales on saturday and scored a great pile of paper stuff. It was actually a few books, some old pics and some pilot and air force related items. I love looking through other peoples old stuff.
Grabbed a copy paper box lid and filled it up for 5 bucks. My almost amazing find was an envelope with about a dozen mint condition stock certificates from the Southwest Airmotive Company of Dallas. At first I was thinking maybe this was some early incarnation of Southwest Airlines…but no, no lottery ticket. Turns out they are “specimen” certificates, or samples. But good news is they still have value! and I sold 3 of them already for Twenty bucks each!!
so overall a great week of adding 12 listings and immediately selling 3 of them!
