How’s the eBay tape? Last time I ordered a bunch I had to let it air out due to a chemically smell, but after that it was OK. This was a long time ago, though.
Why is the jump from 3 months to an entire YEAR? eBay’s got all this seller data and the best they could come up with is siloing everyone into two groups? Give me a break.
Yup, you can see your “defect” (aka INADs) here: https://www.ebay.com/sh/prf/service-metrics
It’s possible the phone is underexposing for some reason. On Android, the camera app has a “pro mode” that lets you modify exposure and ISO. I have a setting that’s adjusted for just my photo room. I’m sure iPhones can do the same.
Maybe give this article a quick glance: https://iphonephotographyschool.com/iphone-camera-settings/
Are you running an ad blocker? Mine was causing a similar issue a few days ago, although I wasn’t sorting by price. I whitelisted eBay and everything is back to normal.
When I have to sell similar w/ an item that uses all caps, I just plug it into http://www.titlecase.com and copy it back over. Easy!
ScrapVulture makes a living off dumpster diving and had a video a few months back where someone attempted a citizen’s arrest on him. He rattled off details about the legality of dumpster diving in his town and deescalated the situation. Still insane, but if you know what the rules are you can protect yourself. I believe he even checks the dumpster of his local PD.
I’ve not had a ton of problems with hitting recycling bins for boxes and packing materials. For true trash digging I usually wear a large backpack and ride my bike. More stealthy and it’s a quicker getaway.
I think cops where I’m at are mostly worried about illegally dumping anyway. They might not have too big of a problem if I got caught and told them I was actually removing stuff 🙂
My reply is always “Okay, tell me how and I’ll do it.” Never gotten a reply.
Awesome, thanks! I wish eBay’s actual definitions were this simply put.
These all happened in the last month.
Bought a digital camera that was said to be popular for ghost hunting. All the sold listings had really wacky pictures to “prove” it worked, but just looked like incredibly blurry and poorly-taken photos by a first year photog student. The camera is still in my death pile for that very reason – how do I prove it works?
Only thing I got close to this was in a return for an expensive item:
“Can you just refund me? I’m disabled and can’t get out of the house. Thanks”
Seems they had no problem hauling the item into the house to begin with. Just sent a return label and never heard back.
Thanks y’all! Return went through fine.
Interesting to hear about zeroing out the account for credit card rewards. That’s cool.
Ha, was reading this thread earlier and realized I hadn’t had one of these in a while, then just now accepted an offer and got “Please cancel, I am buying from another seller” right after. Nope, enjoy your unpaid item strike, bud.
02/20/2019 at 7:52 pm in reply to: ebay Promoted Listings Now Available to Non Store Owners too #57405Interesting. I think eBay’s just banking on people promoting something so they can get a bigger cut.
I do like having the options for promoting/volume discounts while listing, though.
