Entire object is in the next image on imgur just click the left hand arrow. It’s 5″ wide decorative plate.
Thanks the Cardew Teapots are all over the Map on Ebay – but I can’t seem to find this one in recent sales (hopefully that makes it one of the rares).
Please let me know if you come across an official name for the piece.
I am on several facebook laserdisc collector groups and the Pizza Box mailer is a cardinal sin amongst collectors. Don’t ask me why. It might not be rationale but they hate that. I think the cardboard may not be sturdy enough.
Oh now all sorts of good ones are coming to mind how about leaving feedback –
“Unpaid Item case has been closed and order has been canceled. Thank you for considering this purchase.”
Would also love sellers to start leaving feedback like
“Thanks for the INAD! Your refund is on the way.”
@ HiatoryNerd – Thanks! I knew someone here would be able to narrow nail it.
Here is the other angle.
I am pretty sure it’s a mail holder.
I just can’t wrap my head around how to describe look of it.
People don’t like feeling they have been ripped off. If someone is selling something at yard sale for a dollar, they don’t want to learn that they could have received $50.00 for it.
It’s completely illogical but we are not logical creatures.
Thanks Ryanne curious how you would price? I think I listed a set of 4 for 39.99 (with best offer). I keep waffling between thinking that they are vintage and cool and just something you could pick up at Target.
Thanks!
Might be an attempt at a longer grift. I wonder if this “person” just sends out blasts with a a sad story to start up a relationship. The item isn’t important. What is important is that that the seller is stupid enough to believe this is a real person with a real problem. If a correspondence can be started than who knows what the buyer might start asking for. (i.e I can only pay by international money order and the money order is for 1k extra can you wire me the refund).
@hausfrau They can’t been too vintage because the base of the containers are made of plastic. It’s weird. The tops appear very vintage but I can’t imagine the bottoms are older than the 1990s.
Does anyone know Japanese recycling codes? They may even be newer. I wonder if that is a number for number 1 plastic.
I am so proud when I get “p.s. they are so cute!” from Ryanne!
