I like that. I would put man cave in the title for sure.
I listed 27 unique items this week. Congrats to the April winners.
Total Items in Store: 249 Ebay, About 70 Mercari
Items Sold: 11 Ebay, 4 Mercari
Gross Sales: $312 Ebay, $110 Mercari
Cost of Items Sold: $101 Ebay, Mercari our stuff + $8
Highest Price Sold: $80 (new clearance pillow shams)
Average Price Sold: $29 Ebay, $28 Mercari
Returns: 0
Money Spent on New Inventory This Week: About $75 online RA for 6 items.
Number of items listed this week: 27A good week again on Ebay. I did some online clearance sourcing, including a new store brand I haven’t tried before and I will try to flip on Mercari as an experiment. I found a handful RA items sitting around unlisted and finished with that. Finished all of my daughter’s clothes she’s outgrown that are worth listing. So it’s back to the vintage piles this week. Had to take a break from sitting at the computer over the weekend so I wasn’t too productive but now I’m feeling super ready to list. It’s been seven weeks now and I finally got buggy last week. I’m so grateful I have Ebay to work on when I don’t have day job projects.
Out of curiosity I did look at estatesales.net and only one place was listed with a few items and their prices were WAY too high for resale. The paintings I would be interested in would be $7.99 at the thrift store vs. $50-100+
Have a good week scavengers.
I had this problem this week too, though I do have money in my Paypal account. The issue was that I had refunded partially because the buyer purchased multiple items before she asked to cancel. So I guess I will have to refund the rest in Paypal.

I noticed a lot of ums and long pauses and I was too lazy to edit but it was kind of nice to share as I learn a lot from others this way and it’s interesting to see how people do and think about things. You should go again!

I’m happy your sales are good and so admire you for taking on a huge lot of bathing suits. I love RA selling but that was pretty brave as far as returns go in my book. Wish I had been able to stock up my store before this happened, but unfortunately I was actually having to take a break earlier this year.

27 unique listings. I listed 3 items with gold color.
@Jay it’s going to be “totally cringe” as my teens would say. Feel free to give video tips.
Way to go Libby. I listed 29 all unique. Hope for more this week.

Average Price Sold: $25 Ebay, $11 Mercari

Number of items listed this week: 27I listened to the podcast while cleaning the house today. Not as much fun as sitting by the fire. I liked the discussion about how an item has to have a hook even if it’s not your taste. There does still certainly seem to be a lot of uncertainty about what to expect through the end of the year. Not sure what my younger teen will do during summer. She’s thinking about helping me photograph for Ebay but wants a lot of $. If she’s bored enough she might come around.
It was a busy week for me on Ebay while Mercari was quiet. I sold a lot of fabric. There is a big box of vintage fabric in my garage that I need to dig up. I’m hoping to get more listed this coming week from the piles.
This week for fun I’ve been working on making a what sold video to share with you trash elves on Steve’s Wednesday forum post. My first time on IMovie, so bear with me friends.
@Amatino Wishing you and your family peace and healing.
Just wanted to share a tip from a Facebook group that scarves are selling well for face coverings. I sold an old listing for a Vera scarf and have quite a few unlisted ones.
@Sharyn it was meant to be a $10 item so maybe I just typed the offer wrong. Doesn’t sound like the same thing. I do this often right in the morning over coffee. Probably needed more coffee.
@Simon happy for you that you will be traveling more probably when this is done and you retire. Big kids are expensive and it is expensive to live here absolutely. It’s a bit hard because I want to travel with the kids now before they are off living their own lives. But, we do usually manage to take one big trip a year – until Covid. Was going to be NYC and Cape Cod area, which I’ve always wanted to see. We are lousy at planning ahead so now we have plenty of time to look at that and don’t need to cancel.
