New items – to put in the UPC or not?

  I decided to stop putting in the UPC in my new item listings. I feel like Ebay uses that to show buyers cheaper listings. Once in a while I get those immediate cancellations. I drive some listings from outside Ebay and I’ve started pricing more competitively but still not going for the cheapest on new products. I’m wondering if Google will pick up my items without the UPC though. Does anyone know?

  One guy in the hallway from Ebay stressed not to put in the wrong UPC. He said that like 3 times. I wonder if I shouldn’t be putting in does not apply in the field? Might be better to leave it blank the way he was acting.
