Thanks for taking a look Jay. The house had several other examples by the maker, but they were priced nuch higher (I think the mug just got gathered up with other mugs and sold cheap). I looked at the back of each piece and it was the same signature, which I could not make out. Oh well – I will leave it as “Artist Signed” and call it a day.
S&B podcast?
I agree with Jay – unknown artist; vintage 1970s I am guessing. These look like linoleum prints. The woman appears to be a three color print. The landscape may be hand color over linoleum print, but I can’t tell from photos on my phone.

For the embedded copper, I am soaking the knobs again in vinegar this time. My hope is the vinegar will penetrate to the embedded surface of the copper. I will update with results once I see outcome. Thanks for your input.

His prices are probably high, but you can talk him down with a package deal. He offered the $50 Teac R2R to me for $30. I have his phone number if you are interested.
Welcome mscellaneous. I am glad to run across another FIRE-scavenger hybrid. I learned about Jay and Ryanne’s awesome podcast from an interview with Jim Collins back in 2016. I was sold instantly on scavenging as a side hustle for my retirement (pulled the trigger 13 months ago). It has worked out well, and I am pleased to be a part of both of these awesome communities of brilliant quirky people. Best wishes, Daniel.

I find that prescription glasses frames either sell right away or wait for a long time. These went up and sold for 34.50 in the same day https://www.ebay.com/itm/192997759141 Buyer probably had a saved search.
Sold these cards as parts to a vintage Clue game https://www.ebay.com/itm/192955299691 This is not a big money maker, but without a complete game, it works.
I couldn’t believe the prices on these patches when I looked this one up. Purchased for $2 and sold for $75 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192880018865
I have a basement set up that i built with cheap materials. I bought a roll of photographic background paper that I hang from a PVC pipe on a wire suspended from my ceiling. It hangs down and creates a continuous background onto half a discarded ping-pong table. I have two large light stands made of 2×4 and florescent shop lights. I also have a shop light hanging from the ceiling. About 6 months ago I got a cheap florescent ring light (NEEWER) that I use in place of one of the light stands and for occasional close up work. For me, the secret of good photography is using a good camera and lens and then color correcting in Lightroom ($10/month).
08/06/2019 at 1:06 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Pink flamingos, Converse Hi Tops, Zippo Wicks, Record Player, Stainer Violin #65974I took 2 weeks off and visited the Olympic Peninsula with my daughter. Lots of fun and hiking and then back to ship around 15 items. It was slow while I was away (and since I returned). I am looking forward to the back to school shopping season and all that follows. Here are a few of my sales:
Vintage 60s or 70s Napkin rings purchased for $1 and sold for $24.50: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193023578510
Vintage new marking pencils picked up as part of a huge lot of vintage school supplies (pennies per item) and sold for $12 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192685840959
Roomba remote control came with our Roomba (purchased just before discovering frugal life). We never use the remote for anything. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192887347754
Oakley Crosslink prescription frames – always buy these for $0.50 to $2.00. This pair sold for $78.50 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192997848607
Vintage K&E slide rule bought for $2 and sold for $75 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192635532419
The rest was all hats, negatives and suspenders.
I pay $10 per month for a Lightroom license. I probably wouldn’t except I am familiar with it and I like to use it for the other photos I take – the ones of my other life outside of eBay.
A google trick for searching a forum is to type the search term and then type “site:” and then the name of the website. For instance here is a google search I could use to seek out mentions of Scotty Stuffers on Scavenger Life Forum.
Scotty Stuffers site:www.scavengerlife.com/forums
If I wanted only responses that were under the heading shipping I would serach like this:
Scotty Stuffers site:www.scavengerlife.com/forums/forum/shipping-2/
I have used this in lots of searches when I am searching for something and I want the answer to come from a specific site.
Another example. Say I want to find mentions of Scavenger Life on the eBay Community forum. Here is my search typed exactly like this into google:
scavenger life site:community.ebay.com
Best wishes, Daniel

07/04/2019 at 9:58 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Glass negatives, Harley boots, KLH Phonograph, Rain lamp #64509Steve, I am always impressed with your ability to dive into vintage electronic devices and fix them! I hope the reel-to-reel sale goes smoothly.
This past week, I had a few little sales and one or two big sales.
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192771358369 I don’t really have the inclination to pick books, but this one was part of a lot, so I listed it.
I found this box of toy parts that were $5 at my thrift store. Researching, I found only a few mentions of this robot assembly toy. After scratching my head, I went ahead and listed the parts and last week had my first sale. Not big money, but at least it didn’t go to the landfill. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192856641186
More suspenders from the box of 50 for $50 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192959966575
Second set of Bushnell shooting glasses that I picked up for $2. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192949366675
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192774503586 Incomplete Scrabble tiles from a 1954 deluxe set. I think comparables for the complete game were around $40. I may yet make that selling the parts I have.
Tommy Bahama belt from the suspenders estate. I took a best offer of $30. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F192963522454
Just a quick comment that I like the idea of doing a subreddit – already a user and would find an easy transition – plus I like that my Reddit app on my phone would be easier to navigate than this website.
Also, I am really glad that eBay does not do video. I am pretty sure that if eBay allowed video, it would quickly be dominated by beautiful people selling glamorous shit and for the rest of us, it would be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iwuy4hHO3YQ
