Steve – I remember seeing a conversation about pink flamings on Facebook months ago, maybe early spring. I’m sure they’ll all sell eventually.
I had a better week because I am up and listing again. Many of the items I am listing now were given to me by my parents’ downsizing friends when I was visiting in Florida a few weeks ago.
This item was free, but from a former colleague. He was cleaning out his garage. It is two sound blaster cards, never installed, with accessories for $40.
This flatware box was purchased by my mother at a flea market for $5 for my sister. My sister didn’t want it, so up it went. I guess I can’t itemize my mom’s COGS, can I? Anyway, any flatware box I’ve listed lately has sold very quickly, but not for huge amounts of money. This one was a bit bigger than the others, so I listed it for $34.
Here is a recently listed item given to me from a friend of my parents. He remodeled his garage for more storage space and found stuff he didn’t want anymore. This is a vintage brass menorah that sold for $24.
My biggest sale was also from the same guy, vintage Bausch & Lomb binoculars for a best offer $80. He actually did some research and found a listing for $150. I have to talk to him about looking at sold items when he does his research.

Steve, you mentioned that you didn’t list the sony radio headphones simultaneously. – I do the same on Etsy. I feel like it makes the item look more common if I have more than one listed. I just put up the next item when one sells. Seems like a good strategy to me!
Sharyn – That’s a handsome looking flatware box. Guessing it was pretty heavy to ship though even without any flatware inside!

Well July was a slow month but I had a few nice sales.
I still love flatware. This was from a huge lot I got on MaxSold. They didn’t have any pictures of it in the auction listing so I took a little bit of a chance and it paid off big. I paid about $7.50 for this portion of the lot. There was a huge amount of flatware when I picked it up and I’ve already sold a fair amount. I think the total for the entire lot was about $25. https://www.ebay.com/itm/323752894029
Unfortunately the MaxSold auctions this summer have been few an far between.
Another item that I love to find is unopened craft kits. I sold another Dimensions Gold horse cross stitch kit. This sold for $80 and I paid $2.50 for it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/323810638541
I’m also working my way through a pipeline of train books. I bought a bunch of train books back in February and paid about .50 for each book. They’ve been selling all along. It’s not a lot of money but one or two sell each week. This is one of the better ones that just sold. https://www.ebay.com/itm/323728057777
I love seeing and hearing about everyone’s sells. We’re fully ebay now so hopefully I can make enough to pay for our health insurance for 2019.
Happy yard saling!

I took 2 weeks off and visited the Olympic Peninsula with my daughter. Lots of fun and hiking and then back to ship around 15 items. It was slow while I was away (and since I returned). I am looking forward to the back to school shopping season and all that follows. Here are a few of my sales:
Vintage 60s or 70s Napkin rings purchased for $1 and sold for $24.50: https://www.ebay.com/itm/193023578510
Vintage new marking pencils picked up as part of a huge lot of vintage school supplies (pennies per item) and sold for $12 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192685840959
Roomba remote control came with our Roomba (purchased just before discovering frugal life). We never use the remote for anything. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192887347754
Oakley Crosslink prescription frames – always buy these for $0.50 to $2.00. This pair sold for $78.50 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192997848607
Vintage K&E slide rule bought for $2 and sold for $75 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192635532419
The rest was all hats, negatives and suspenders.0
