I’m not sure about payment, but from reading other people’s experience, it takes a lot for Poshmark to authorize a rejected purchase. The buyer has to prove that the item sent is significantly different from what was pictured in the listing. It seems like there is an arbitration process that takes a little while, like a few days, because a real person has to review the case.
She’s covering her ears because the fire truck has it’s siren going and it’s So. Loud.
I am in favor of selling the Anarchist Cookbook but child pornography is a no go for me.
I would have burnt them too.For gift wrapping, you could add a listing specifically for that and tell people to buy it in addition to their item if they want it wrapped.
I would sell it. You can look any of that stuff up on youtube and get step by step instructions.
I just looked up the prices. For $100, you bet I would sell it.
If I was taking the pictures, I would include one of my fingers in the recess. It would help people visualize better and give an idea of the size of the piece. I know you’ll put measurements but a lot of people have a hard time picturing exactly how big those measurements are and won’t bother getting out a ruler to double check.
I think the round part goes at the top. Then your fingers could fit in that recess.
Could it be a drawer pull?09/27/2018 at 8:02 pm in reply to: Asking for your advice – I'm In Over my Head with a Shipping Request to China #49274I don’t have any advice except, don’t respond yet. Wait until tomorrow so that you have time to gather advice and do your research.
I would also take it out of the box, and include that note in the listing, if for no other reason than to prove to myself and the buyer that there is nothing wrong with the item. It is in perfect condition.
That way, you can dispute it if the buyer claims it was broken or put a claim in to the post office.09/22/2018 at 8:18 pm in reply to: To umlaut or not to umlaut in titles – accents on foreign language letters #49027I agree, put both versions of the word in the title with the umlaut version at the end of the title since we’ve been told something about Cassini not liking non-alphanumeric characters and I’m not sure if an umlaut counts.
I got them at half price night at the bins, so I paid maybe $1.50. It was worth the risk to see if they would come clean.
I’ve started cross posting on Poshmark too. It seems like the folks using it are younger so the “wonderfully hideous” stuff seems to appeal to the hipster generation. Earlier in the week I sold an acid wash, quilted, denim jacket straight out of the 80s.
I’ve definitely seen people with very large stores (1,000+). Yes, you can list and forget but they encourage active participation via “sharing”. I guess it pushes your items up in the search rankings every time you click the button to share.
They have a Posh Ambassador program but as far as I can tell, there aren’t any seller perks to jumping through the hoops. I think it just helps to legitimize you as a seller/community member but mostly helps Posh show lots of activity on their site because they require a crazy amount of sharing before you qualify (5,000 of other people’s stuff and 5,000 of your own stuff).
The flow blue was intentional? Whenever I saw those pieces I always figured they were seconds – mistakes.
I picked up 2 large pairs at the bins last night. One has a hole in the leg but I’m sure it won’t really matter. It may actually be in an area that I could patch on my sewing machine – I might do that and advertise it as a feature.
Cool! Thanks for the explanation. “If it’s sealed up, look it up.”
