I really don’t get this fascination with kale. It’s horrible stuff. Personally, I love Swiss Chard, but it’s nearly impossible to find in this neck of the woods. Here we get kale (ugh) turnip greens, and collard greens. No shortage of those crops!
ROFL. Thanks, Jay. Oh, I don’t feel bad for THEM! And I did pick up on them being so low ticket, I won’t consider buying them. However, my donors feel so proud of themselves for giving me stuff, and it is a fast Sell Similar to list six of them, so what the heck, right? I was going to just whack the lot of them up for $8 each, when I happened to notice that I couldn’t find two of the graphics. I priced one at $12 (SUCH an increase! LOL!) but this one… dunno. Patriotic stuff tends to sell quite well for me.
Perhaps I’ll stick it up as OOAK and see what happens.
Hubs didn’t leave town, as anticipated, but had a vehicle breakdown instead. So zero for me.
However, I’ve already started listing today, so I’ll have numbers to put up by the end of this week. Woot woot! 😉
Home Depot throws away tons of packing materials and are not averse to folks taking it. You need to find a manager or similar and ask, and they’ll help you.
Yup. All of them. I’ve not had a problem before.
OP posted that she is waiting for combined shipping for two. He can adjust the shipping to cover all three and deduct the difference from his quote. Then he can notify her what he did.
Hello everyone! Sorry for the late update, I’ve spent the last two days running errands for the hub’s business. HIS business is doing really well! Mine… er….
I listed only one item this week, but it sold within 20 minutes for $200 plus shipping, so I’m not unhappy per se. It’s just that I have a HUGE death pile and could really use some time to get through it all. On a positive note, the hubs is away for the next three weeks, so hopefully I can really hit those piles. On a negative note, the hubs is away for the next three weeks…. 😉
Vintage Lacy, I’ve never heard of putz houses before! I looked them up online and it says they’re cardboard houses. There’s one selling for $45 online. $45 for a cardboard house? Seriously?
Congratulations Libby on your listing numbers. Wow! Winner this week by far!
I had a buyer purchase three different items from me, and pay for each one individually. When I saw that all three orders were going to the same person, I wondered how to combine shipping. On the top right corner of the eBay page is the notification bell. I opened that, and it said “three items paid, time to ship.” I clicked on that and the program opened up with combined shipping for me. I sent one parcel, eBay updated all three purchases with shipping info. I didn’t have to do a thing.
Try that?
Thanks for all the good wishes folks. I’m feeling better, although my listing for last week was zero as I worked almost exclusively on the hub’s sewing business and my dance class.
I’ve got to get photos up in the DPA (Death Pile Anonymous… like that one from Liz) and will work on clearing it. It’s really rather awful… and I added to it this week with another haul. Sigh…
Spreadsheet updated. Winner this week: Vintage Lacy.
You are awesome! Thank you.
I’ve just started working with sewing machines and working out HOW to pack and ship them has been an interesting lesson! It looks like FedEx Ground is the way to go for these. I also posted on a FB group asking for advice – only one person responded.
ROFL. Retro, you’re awesome! 😀
I’ve had it happen three times: twice after shipping, when eBay notified me that the buyer was “not a registered user” or something, and once before shipping, when eBay notified me that they’d cancelled the sale because it was a fraudulent user name or some such.
On all three occasions, eBay ensured I was not out of pocket.
I know it’s optional, but I figured having just a State, rather than a city, was anonymous enough for most folks. It’s just a nice extra!
I’ve seen it described as “sugared”, which struck me at the time as an unusual way to describe it. Dunno if that was the seller’s personal description, though, although it seemed quite apt.
