Thanks gfd_622. Good points there. Will look at selling it.
I’m back on the board! I listed a whopping 6 items. Oh…. pffft I’m back, m’kay? 😛 I would have done more, but it took a whole day to list those 6 and I thought it was my computer or that I had a virus or something. Then I found out that the eBay system was playing silly buggers and decided that I have too many other things to do to stress myself out over it and got on with those instead. But at least I’m back in the game.
Am I the only one still in the Challenge? Y’all gave up because my numbers are so high? *wink*
Slower week in the clearing out this week. Only 32 items out. taking me up to 360 items for the month. Hmmm… I know I can make 400 before the end of the month. Wonder if I can hit 500?
How horrendous is this? That I actually may have five HUNDRED low dollar items to get rid of!
Truthfully, I probably could sell all of this, but I’ve reached the “enough” point. You know how some days you walk through a sewer and you only need to wear rain boots, other days you need a snorkel? Well, I’m so far under … “water”… that my snorkel is flooded. I’m just done. I want to clear my space and just have the stuff left that I want to focus on with no fear of returns or issues like the eBay chaos of last week. The loss of income here is too awful to contemplate, but most of the stuff is donated, so not really a total loss, apart from the loss of potential income, but it has been in my storage shed for nearly two years now. I just want it out. The stuff that’s left is either higher value clothing or hard goods, which I actually prefer to list, enjoy researching, and are unique.
In that video they showed last week with the eBay issues with item specifics, the guy showed that if you searched for Tommy Hilfiger Hawaiian Shirt XL there were 6,000 listings, but if you searched without the size marker and hit the XL option on the filter, there were only 300 listings.
Possibly that’s what happened to your store?
Personally, I’ve noticed on my searches that the number of items in a search drops dramatically when I hit a filter. Like, way fewer items in the search than could have possibly been reduced by that filter.

However, these made me feel that perhaps… my life isn’t so bad! 😀
And this:
Hahahahahahaha! Ain’t this the truth? 😀

Please help! #69245Hmmm… The lamp company said they would look, but as they have thousands of vintage lamps, it might be a while. I went back to the buyer and gave her a copy of the reply and asked what she wanted to do? I gave her 3 options: return for credit/take partial credit and fix it herself/wait for the lamp company. I also asked for photos again (3rd time!) She replied she didn’t know what to do and didn’t know how to add photos. I replied with instructions and she did send photos. The metal frame of one pane is bent in about 1/4 inch, but that was enough to shatter the glass.
So I replied that we could wait for the lamp company to get back to me and, if they could supply a replacement, I would buy it and have it shipped to her at no cost. If they can’t replace it, I will refund her for the item.
She replied she wants a refund and for me to pay shipping. She flat refuses to do a return, so now she’s going to have an awesome old lamp with only one broken pane (that can be repaired) basically for free, and I’m out $149. I don’t think that’s fair!
Thoughts? Should I just bite the bullet on this one?

The lamp company replied that they’ll try to find something and I’ll contact the buyer and ask what she wants to do.
eBay says it’s resolved. https://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/RESOLVED-Technical-issues-reported-in-Seller-Hub-and-listings-in/ba-p/30327634
Not sure if it has sorted out your problem, AtomicStar. It sucks when eBay screws with your income!
Couldn’t have been tooooo much of a jinx, VT, you won the week! Hope your furble is doing well and this is a cherry on the cake.
Spreadsheet updated. Did we lose chaoticgood already?
20 mile round trip for nothing because I didn’t read this thread before I went! >.<
