Sharyn, yes, this is the new thread. The other was getting too big/long.
Vintage Lacy, does this shade of green look good on me? π
This weekend we had our “Spring” street sale (Spring? In May?) and I managed to offload a few items that I just didn’t want to bother shipping. Yay! However, a friend of mine offloaded onto me 4 (read that and weep!) boxes of mostly glassware that she’s getting out of her storage area following her separation pending divorce. I really didn’t want any more stuff, my DPs are seriously overwhelming already, but I didn’t have the heart to say no, considering her situation. So my DPs are growing, not shrinking. Even worse, listing this week was zero too. π On the positive side, the Student Showcase is now only two weeks away, and I am inches away from finishing the first costume. Literally inches… I have 3″ of beading left! π I’ve done both harem pants for the other two costumes, and am halfway through the bra for one of them. Just the straps and some tassels and the bra is finished, with luck, by tonight. Phew! Then one more top and I’m done. Oh! Wait! I still have my costume to work on! *head smacks on table*
It seems that ice_queen has definitely dropped out, so I’ll have to reconfigure the pairings and create new sets. That means I have to recount the points column. I’ll post the new spreadsheet in a little while.
Liz, I think you get the prize for the weirdest one! π

Out of curiosity, I posted the pic in a farm community forum locally. I’ve been amused at the ????s there, but this seemed like a possibility:
a βpig tailβ twister used for twisting wires together, most common today used in re-bar for concrete
My funniest was also my bad.
“I didn’t get what I ordered. The one you sent me is a plain background and I wanted the one with the funky background.”
The photo with the “funky background” had my reflection in it. Brain fart moment that it was the primary photo in the listing! π05/15/2018 at 9:35 am in reply to: Trash Elf Twins Challenge 2018 Thread #2 From Week 19 (May 7-13) #39954Wow, you guys are awesome! Marjean, hope your daughter continues to improve.
Zero for me as well. I’ve been going flat out off-eBay. I have a Student Showcase in 3 weeks and am making 3 costumes (top, bottoms, and belt) and, for example, one pair of harem pants has approx 1,500 crystals on it, each one applied individually by hand. It has been a looooong couple weeks of late nights, early mornings, and hole-y fingers! Fortunately, my array of other commitments all came to a close this weekend, so now I’m just down to the Showcase. I’m hoping to get a couple listings in this week, and have been fortunate to have orders continuing to trickle in, plus each week I do a relist of all my ended listings. Helps to keep the shop alive.
Looks like ice_queen has dropped out. I will need to adjust the pairings, but would like to give it another week to accurately see trends.
Week 19 (May 7-13)
https://imgur.com/ibrrjCVOh, those are such fun! π
Had a good chuckle reading some of them.
I find it both interesting and sad. One time I was asked to go clear out the small apartment of an old man who died. His family had gone through and taken the items of interest, and the rest of his stuff was donated to a local charity. I was asked to help a friend who worked at that charity in collecting the items. As we gathered together his entire life, I could see how he spent his final years, the items of interest to him. Yet, as I watched it all being gathered by a team of workers, it meant nothing to them. It dawned on me, then, how it’s all just “stuff”. It’s your treasure, but to your family that has to deal with it, or the estate sale people, or Goodwill, it’s just more stuff. Very sobering.
I went home and cleared out a ton of clutter!
(This was before I started working eBay.)
Welcome back, KatieScott! We missed you! π
Hey Marjean, hope your daughter is okay too!
I hit zero again this past week. A combination of big classes, a new assignment, and our annual Student Showcase coming up have totally wiped out my time off eBay. I am so ready for June 2nd, when all the pressure is over and I can get back to work. π
KatieScott and ice_queen have not posted again, so if they don’t pop up next week, I’ll pair VintageTreasures with Marjean.

My apologies if I came across a little brusque earlier, I meant no offense. I’m sleep deprived, have been working ’til midnight almost this whole week.
Once again, I held it over waiting for ice_queen and KatieScott. Ladies, please, out of consideration for the others, can you post on Mondays? Thanks.

If you go through the past celebrities, maybe you can hit a match.
T-Satt, I tried putting measurements into Condition and got told off. Auto-message stated that it looked like I was including info that should go into another section.
Not only do I put measurements into the specifics, I also include photos with a ruler. Still get the questions though…. Sigh!
