As sellers, I think we are going to see more changes in the structure and/or cost of fees (FVFs, insertion/listing fees, extra listing feature fees etc.) due to the fact that they are one of the primary revenue sources for ebay.
According to ebay’s 2017 United States Securites and Exchange Commission report under the section titled Net Revenues:
“We generate two types of net revenues: net transaction revenues and marketing services and other (“MS&O”) revenues. Net transaction revenues are derived principally from final value fees (which are fees payable on transactions closed on our Marketplace and StubHub platforms), listing fees and other service fees. MS&O revenues consists of Marketplace, StubHub and Classifieds revenue principally from the sale of advertisements, vehicles classifieds listing on Marketplace platforms, revenue sharing arrangements, classifieds fees, marketing service fees and lead referral fees. Revenues are attributed to U.S. and international geographies primarily based upon the country in which the seller, platform that displays advertising, other service provider or customer, as the case may be, is located. To drive traffic to our platforms, we provide incentives to our users in the form of coupons and buyer and seller rewards. These incentives are generally treated as reductions in revenue”

When we list, we list in certain categories. Each category has a different final value percentage fee rate.
ebay is going to make sure they get their money by making sure that the percentage fee rate that is the highest (based on category) is the one they will get paid on and not just the first one identified in the listing.
Scroll down on this link to see the category fees chart

So Cal Joe,
Basic specs are what will allow the software to run at optimal levels as well as allow for any updates/adjustments. While one can often run software without the exact specs, crashing, freezing, and/or having certain features not run or open correctly is highly likely if the CPU has specs below those identified as needed.
If it is an original, might it be worth getting it appraised for authenticity and value just in case it is worth more than it may appear to be worth?

Thank you for your responses. That is very helpful.
I was reading through the posts here and realized that what may be occuring is what I had happen.
When I was trying to change shipping options in a sell similar, it did not work. I called ebay and learned that shipping options can only be changed in a new listing not a sell similar -sell similar still has programming from the original listing. Once the change occurs in the new listing, it will be saved for future listings but it does not apply to previous listings.
In addition, when shipping changes are made under the shipping preferences in Account settings, they only apply to new listings and can not be applied to previous listings. In order to apply them to previous listings, the listing has to be ended and created as new. Otherwise, each listing will have to be edited as to where the seller wishes to ship to.
A. Lyric,
I know many people have done it, but meeting someone from CL in person does not necessarily make it ok. I would offer that you do some reseasrch about CL – there is plenty online. In addition, make sure to read over their safety tips and warnings. Trust your gut. If something feels off, it is!

anniethrifts,
Sixbit has been spoken about in multiple threads. It may be of benefit to type Sixbit into the search bar under the heading Search the Blog.
T-Satt,
60 days is too long.
1. 30 days keeps something new coming out every month which is good for the platform and good for business.
2. An upside for 30 day relist is that is will cause many to have to pay to relist some because it will probably bring them over their listing amount into being charged per listing.Be careful on CL. “If it is too good to be true, it probably isn’t” applies more times than not on CL.
I am just wondering how others here deal with brand name in their listing title.
MDC Galleries,
Since you do not have many characters to use, I would offer that you stay with “We apologized and refunded 100%. Anything else takes away from the apology.
Congrats on your great feedback. You actually can include your favorite feedback in your store by making it part of the store banner. In order to save the feedback, while you have the feedback up, press print screen. Then open a word document and press ctrl v. The screen will pasted into the word document which you can save and use in your store banner.

This is very smart of Amazon.
There are several other online companies doing this, only they charge a membership fee for this one service. Amazon has it setup inside of having a Prime membership which I am sure most people do not fully use, so Amazon makes a profit either way. People either have and do not completely use the full capabilities of prime (the free shipping in particular) and/or pay for extra products and/or services available as a prime member. For those who are not members, this will bring in membership and because this is just one of many services offered through prime, Amazon can say that there is no membership fee for this particular service. A win win for Amazon. They are banking on the fact that the money generated through membership and the purchasing of products and services will far exceed expenditures for shipping and/or providing low cost clothing and accessories.
In addition, a seven day try on window will bring in big profits for Amazon because they know that the majority of people will not be able to work within that time frame which means they will keep and pay for the items ordered. So, Amazon will get their Prime membership fee along and the monies for clothing and accesssories ordered and kept. In addition, Amazon benefits from their partnerships with whichever entities they have partnered with for this program. While this will serve to benefit Amazon, it will most likely cut into the sales of anybody else selling clothes and accessories online and possibly even those selling in brick and mortar stores.
While I do not sell on Bonanza, a trademark infringement claim usually occurs for a couple of reasons.
1. Someone saw the item being sold and decided to report it for what ever reason.
2. A rep for the company or a contracted third party was designated as the entity whose specific task it is to search for and take down any items with the company’s name which are not being sold by the company or one of its affiliates.
3. The company is using google features which allow the company to pay for Google to “search for” all instances of the company’s name and then bring it to the attention of the company. This is a marketing tool focused on keeping track of anything having to do with the company. One specific reason it is used is to track activity related to the company especially the sale of their items or items with the company’s name on them.-
