Hi Steve, thanks again!
Sold a lot of diecast overt the years and never saw, nor even heard of Mike & Sue! Nice way to make $100!
So a REAL Trucker Hat has the mesh in the back, noted! Here are a few of the more interesting sales I enjoyed last week:
I had my eye on this detonator for a few years yet the flea vendor treated it like a museum piece. After selling his entire booth to another, the price tag remained the same, but the new owner sold it to me for $20. Nobody could confirm it was indeed a detonator since the design was unusual.
A well known prop master first did his research, and then paid full price $135 and insisted on a FedEx Priority Overnight, providing me with his personal account number. It will be featured in yet another Disney movie based on a theme park ride!

https://www.etsy.com/listing/671236523/old-rusty-boat-anchor-15-pound-metal?show_sold_out_detail=1This 10″ X 6″ shallow wood tray with compartments garnered a lot of interest on Etsy in a short time, and even wound up in 4 carts rather quickly. Purchased for $1, sold for $25. What set it apart I think were the cool age imprints from sewing notions that sat inside of it forever undisturbed.

I’ll be listening at work tomorrow morning!

Steamers has the best seafood in the area, located in a strip mall, MA family run, feels and tastes like New England. I love Buffalo Chips, old Florida style rough yet family wing place bar in Bonita Springs, go DEATH wings if you like hot! I know Brass Tap is a chain, but the one in North Naples just off 41 has good enough food, great staff, lots beer. A charter fishing trip just out of Tin City is great, good for all ages, drop the line, hook the fish, crew does the rest, and Pinchers Sea Food will cook your catch right there in Tin City. Fleamasters in Ft Myers off exit 138 has a huge flea market, old and new stuff. Coconut Point in Estero is our favorite for shopping, movies, food, just a bit hot since outside. Tons of beaches, we settled into enjoying Vanderbilt Beach the most, easy parking and facilities, sunset is a must most times. Touristy, but if you have not taken an airboat ride out in the Everglades, its worth it, everyone can go, a bit canned but fun, we use Captain Jacks, ask for Jeremy, big Alabama guy (if he’s still there)

What do you you like to do?
Yes, it will be hot but much cheaper lodging, way less traffic, and no lines to eateries.04/26/2019 at 11:43 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Danskos, Lava Lamp, RR Map, Fire Prevention poster, Patch, Mailbox #60848Temudgin,
That WWII ring is really cool, obscure with a great vintage look. I hope something like that pops up next time I buy out a huge costume lot. Thank you for posting the tongs with the Airliner markings. Something else to watch out for while keeping fingers cut free digging in the kitchen gadget bins.

Steve, thank you as always, the space blob lamp is an amazing find! Sharyn, I love the book sale! I don’t know about other scavengers, but I would not have given that one a second look! Success from having insider knowledge!
Finally a week for me with more than just a couple of what I think are interesting sales. This Chicago Varnish Co key chain from the early twentieth sold for a tidy best offer of $30. It is one of the items I pieced out from a lot sourced on eBay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-key-chain-ring-Chicago-Varnish-Co-Advertising-Pat-Dec-1-1908-metal-antique/372507364993?hash=item56bb2b4e81:g:x5EAAOSw8R9b8xOuThis little Wacky Wall Walker toy form 1982 sold for $35. The packaging is rare and dates to when the toy sold out of the creator’s garage in D.C. Soon after the company went big and they sold millions of these sticky toys.
A flea market vendor was desperate to sell a small bin of odds and ends for a dollar take all. As I poked around, she just gave it to me for free and inside among the small junky stuff was this little gem. (I flipped her $5 on Tuesday)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wacky-Wall-Walker-1982-sealed-Original-Tradex-Corp-glow-in-the-dark-vintage-rare/253748198439?hash=item3b14923c27:g:CnoAAOSwmT1bR6wZHere is a tiny 1 inch plastic robot alien figure from the 1960’s. I sourced a lot of them on eBay and have pieced them out and been selling on Etsy for $20 each with a few selling last week. I’m showing you this guy because he went all the way to Germany. I remember having a couple of these toys as a kid in the 60’s, playing with them in bed and hiding them under my pillow. A favorite toy. I almost paid $90 for ONE many years ago on eBay!
https://www.etsy.com/listing/532990790/lp-space-toy-172-alien-robot-spaceman?ref=shop_home_active_12&frs=1Now for a not so cute Etsy bread & butter sale. It is refreshing for me to find items like this after digging through doll clothing and even manlier smalls. I wrap the lengths around my shoulders, turn my T-shirt to rust and enjoy the stares as I hike out of the market trying to look casual. A mans gotta spit and a mans gotta buy rusty old heavy stuff, eventually. This shipped easy and economically in a flat rate large box. Present them in the right context, insure they are older and you too can begin adding these to your very own B&B list. Bought for around $6 and sold for $45.

Hello, thank you for the company packing last night with the fresh podcast! Very interesting, lots covered! I was seven listings shy of my listing goal of 6 items a day. Listings still consistent and improved over pre goal months! Both eBay and Etsy stores ‘came alive’ this week. Different pipelines kicked in, a myriad of new & older listings selling, a few nice surprise sales, and some weird little stuff selling at good prices. I attacked scavenging this week yet I did not find much.

Listened last night while packing after my regular 12 hour, enjoying the best surprise company! I really liked this podcast. Rang my Simpatico bell! Plan to listen through again this morning.Another week of success with the 6 listings a day goal, and getting out and scavenging more creatively and more aggressively. I’m looking forward to a consistent weekly bottom line profit buildup as I do the consistent weekly work. I also completely dumped another consignment arrangement, working on ending the oldest one and almost there.

Steve, I do believe you have the potential to make a lot of $ fixing up these stereo systems and flipping on the FB Marketplace. Obviously you know this! So many of us from the vinyl era would love to own an old working stereo that we could buy locally from a trusted seller. Now if you could just keep finding them to flip!
Here are some interesting sales:
Bibles have for certain become Bread & butter for me on eBay & Etsy. Buy for $1 or $2 and sell for minimum of $20. I don’t look for just any bibles however. This 1949 Collins sold for full price $100 with no offer made. Paid $1.00. Folks like to replace their beloved bible that has worn out or become lost.

I paid $6 each for a lot of them (truck & auto too), and this one sold for Best Offer $65. I’ve since sold five more at $50 each to another buyer.
