Some great sales! Steve’s $100 for the open plastic model cars, have to love that! Interesting to see Temudgin’s Paki lockback selling for $28, my eyes are open now as I do see them cheap, and actually appreciate the heft and tightness of many of these knives.
It seems to take me a couple of weeks now to come up with sales interesting and high enough to enjoy sharing, here goes.
This heavy metal insulated lock box has a brass plate marked Rangeley Water Co Maine. It was so cool I paid the firm asking $75 and sold quickly for a best offer of $200. Strike while the metal is hot on something like this, especially with $75 into it!

I honestly thought I would sell them for at lest $90. I paid $1 for both so a winner regardless.

The interesting piece is this center pull winch hook, a rusty rarity that sold for $35. I paid $3 or less.

Here is one, the other is almost identical.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/672931115/old-shabby-wood-nautical-fishing-drop?show_sold_out_detail=1I paid $2.50 for this vintage Easter Egg Doll Baby Bunting, part of a big vintage toy buy out. The mini cheap plastic toy fetched $45 on Etsy after about one year.

I keep plugging away at Etsy, more than willing to front load this platform, yet my focus has always been eBay.5/19– 5/25/19 (no cross listing is done between platforms)

# International sales: 0Great Podcast, and what a way to finish up a peaceful Sunday at the regular job. Scavenging is certainly therapy for me – the thrill of the early morning hot Florida flea market, the late night pack & ship flow because it has to be done, and getting into the research, photo, and listing zone. If I wasn’t doing this, I suppose I would be fishing all the time!

I have yet to find surprise art behind framed art or a framed photo. Cool Platter, I’m thinking fancy hunter’s lodge on that one, and great to see lot up cassettes going for real money.
Here are a few from the past couple of weeks:
This size small 22 cal vintage ammo belt was a freebie from a flea vendor after I purchased a couple of bookend sets from him, sold for $35 Best Offer, took the fast nickel, why not!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Small-vintage-Ammo-Belt-22-bullet-western-hunting-75-shells-cowboy-fit-32-34/254042227011?hash=item3b2618c143:g:~u0AAOSwXyBcJU~uThis pair of heavy duty oldish trunk recessed lift handles sold for a best offer of $45, I paid $4.00 for the two at a fancy antique booth, where I thought they would be priced much higher – surprise!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Heavy-Duty-Recessed-Lift-Handles-metal-flip-plate-vintage-trunk-chest-door-pair/372652876270?hash=item56c3d7a1ee:g:QdYAAOSwFMtctK~9I found this gold tone owl interlocking belt buckle in the feared glass case at the thrift store for only $3.00. The owl theme and a 1973 grabbed my interest. Having never seen this type of belt buckle system before, I learned that they are Mimi Di, and well worth grabbing any figural you find at a not too expensive price. I even spelled it wrong on my listing – Mimi NIP?! Sold for $40.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/686633014/vintage-garden-tool-tote-metal-chipped?show_sold_out_detail=1Finishing up at work, glad to see another Sunday night podcast, going to try hard to listen before nights out.

# International sales: 1I’m thinking not so much the lid, but now the buyer’s jar with the lid is much more valuable. Hoping you find another wood lid for that jar you still have and get a repeat! Hah!
MDC Mike,
Health, prosperity, joy & peace, and in abundance.
Sincerely,
TTT TomAmazing $270 on the lid! I get it. It is obvious the buyer recognized the lid, a hand carved specialized antique and maybe soon to sit on top of a very expensive jar? It might even be the correct lid for a $5,000 jar, soon to be a $7,000 jar now that it has the lid! Would be very cool!
Hey you guys almost blew my peaceful Sunday!
I wonder sometimes if my wife and I will work this business together as we slip out of our regular jobs. I’m about to ruin my peaceful Sunday again just thinking about it…she would agreeWow! Nice surprise Podcast on a Sunday afternoon, and all my Sundays are spent in a VERY BORING yet peaceful Sunday Workplace.

Hooah! Army!
(Now that we exchanged the motto pleasantries)
Yes, it sounds like you had the skates strapped on tight during basic.
Bragging rights for sure.Spent time at Ft Sill, actually quite enjoying second trip there,
and good times at Ethan Allen where we mixed the branches and formed platoons.
Three of my four work mates are former Army presently,
Can’t get away from the Hooah. Thanks again for the ‘What Sold’ shares, I like your format, and you already know the stuff is cool.
Temudgin,
All of your shared solds rock! The trench art medal is amazing!
I too am in on the Risdon secret, having secured my laundry bag with one and later supervised 60+ others in securing their bags. We cut about three inches off the ends of our web belts and wrote our laundry number on the strip of canvass. Since my last name began with an A, I was laundry #1. Not an advantage at Parris Island.
I sell the pins on Etsy one at a time. Even unmarked rusty ones sell.A classic old Semi tractor without a working CB, God forbid!
I’ve had a 1980’s single untested New-Tronics CB antenna listed for about a year, now with 6 watchers. $22 plus shipping. Not that easy selling just one.Doublythumbs,
How cool is that brand new in the box CB Radio! Story time trigger! In the mid 70’s, my brothers and I used to sit in my Fathers car during hot lazy summer days, and feign we were truckers on his CB. Learned all the lingo and received all the Big Hoss threats! After I rung up my fourth shipping error, I tightened up my so called time saving pack & ship processes. Fortunately, the buyers were all cool. The lost profits not so cool. Enjoying a nice run of error free shipping lately.
Great price on the damaged vise!
