I guess all rates just went up. But check out PirateShip for the international shipping.There was an post a couple of months back on SL from user Ricker that you should re-read.

I have SixBit and understand what you mean about sorting and filtering etc.Dimensional shipping is not a puzzle either.
But give me more info on how to add a calculator tool in SixBit program?
@Zach:
It does sound scammy. Too vague. Almost like a form letter.From what you said, buyer cannot leave feedback. If you were to get a negative, they have threatened, so you could probably get it removed.
Add buyer to your blocked list, so they cannot get another transaction started with you.

I am confused by your flatware listings with the 1947. Is that a date or more likely the pattern number? In some of your photos it looks more like 1847 or even 1647.@Mummmers:
Thanks for posting this. I have a similar listing count and an identical offer from eBay.After running the numbers, it makes more sense to pay for the 100+ extra listings for a couple of months or so, to make sure one is committed.
BUT, the 2 months at the old rate is what is enticing me. I want to grow my store, thus giving this serious consideration too.
@Ryanne:
It seems like the eBay pendulum is swinging way out in buyer’s favor again lately. Even though eBay has been talking big about supporting sellers in the last year.Hope you talk about your transaction on the podcast soon.
I think the buyers get irate after they come to realize that it is really their own fault for not reading the listing. They are really mad a themselves but seek eBay’s help to get their money back.
@DantheDiner: This does seem to be more of a problem on eBay lately.
eBay follows Amazon’s lead as far as spoiling buyers with easy returns. So it seems more and more that buyers do not even read the listings.
Of course, for ‘For parts or not working’ items, eBay must enforce a money back guarantee so that sellers cannot be untruthful about the item or unprofessional as far as the pack and ship, etc.
Below is my minimum list of things that a seller should do to help prevent a return of ‘For parts or not working’ items:
State ‘As-Is’ in the item Title.
Select ‘For parts or not working’ in the item condition field. (Not all categories have this)
Re-state ‘As-Is’ and ‘For parts or not working’ in the item description.
State ‘No Returns’ in the item description.
Adjust your return setting for this item only to be ‘No Returns’. (Important)Saying less about the item is better, because eBay states: “The item can always be returned if it doesn’t match the listing description.”
I’ve been using esnipe.com for well over 15 years. And highly recommend them.
Their sniping is server-based and you set up your bids in your browser.
I believe you can try them out for free.
01/06/2020 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 444: Is Cross Posting The New Reality? #72565I don’t think one can change a feedback that has been posted without asking the seller to send a feedback revision request first.

You will definitely confuse your eBay buyers by using eBay shipping like that. Might also mess up some of your eBay metrics. It could look like you have late shipping.Like @Ryanne states:
You can use Paypal.com/Shipnow to print labels for USPS. They offer a fair price for shipping. I use this for first class and priority.Or you can create a free account with Pirateship.com.
You can also create your own account with UPS (or Fedex) and print labels via their website.
These options are all subscription free.
12/22/2019 at 3:35 pm in reply to: My 0.02 on store size and how to move from a hobby to a business #71963@old-dad: Thanks for the tip about watching eBay messages for special offers. Until you left a similar comment about 6 weeks ago or so, I was wondering why these offers never came to my email box. One must watch “my eBay” messages.
A few months back, I missed an offer to upgrade my store; offer already had expired by the time I saw it in the messages.
I used the 500 free listings offer in both November and December. I have a basic store with about 300 listings right now and like to end and restart many of my listings every 30 days, so those offers come in handy.
@old-dad:
I hesitate to lower the price on my multi-quantity eBay listings for this reason.Buyers can be offended, ask for a partial refund or leave a bad feedback if they happen to see a price drop that they missed.
@IndySales: old magicJack. Here is a picture of a similar item. Mine was same thing.
Item was sealed and I did not want it back. My thinking was that if anyone was still using these, they might need to refresh their old parts.
I called first thing this morning and eBay removed the negative feedback. The eBay agent had a thick accent so I really didn’t understand everything said but the results are excellent. Negative feedback disappeared “Just like it never happened”.
There were 2 things going in my favor:
1) the item was sold “For Parts or not working” and “no returns”, thus by demanding a return the buyer has demanded something that is not offered in the listing. This alone is grounds for reporting a buyer.
2) the threat of a bad review if buyer demands were not met. Typical Feedback Extortion.So I am happy to report that eBay stood by this seller today.
