Follow up:
Rita just told me that eBay actually CALLED her and wanted to talk about helping with sales or something. She said she couldn’t talk and the rep asked if she could email us. That’s when we got the email above.
Kind of weird that eBay called us.
12/11/2017 at 2:32 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 338: Rich Scavenger, Poor Scavenger #28629Here’s the 2nd part of the email which I think clarifies:
“Increase your holiday visibility.
During the busiest sales time of the year, buyers are filtering for eBay Guaranteed Delivery. When you offer same-day handling, the delivery promise to buyers becomes shorter, and your listings are more likely to show up when they click the “Guaranteed 3 day delivery” toggle. For step-by-step guidance on how to update your handling time, watch our video.”12/11/2017 at 2:23 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 338: Rich Scavenger, Poor Scavenger #28627About the 3 day guaranteed shipping…
Ours is showing as 4 days as well. I think if we changed to same day handling instead of 1 day handling, we would show up as guaranteed 3 day delivery.
eBay sent us an email that sort of said this. The email was sent after we called to close a case:
“Thanks for speaking with me. As we discussed, you have the opportunity to increase the visibility your listings get with eBay Guaranteed Delivery by offering same-day handling.”

Unique items (generally). Hand picked. Wait for the right buyer. Example….this week we sold an oil painted portrait of a random women from 1962 which we got from an estate sale for $5. It sold for $500. Odd thing is, it was only listed a month. Prices it high with make offer because I liked it on our wall! The person didn’t make an offer, just bought it.
Wonder why people don’t make offers? This was a newer ebayer who maybe didn’t understand. Anyway, I wouldn’t have taken much less because it was so lovely.

Number of items listed this week: 61Stomach flu prevented more listing and scavenging than I would have liked.
Exactly Jay! It can open up the freedom to do whatever she wants.
The site now says “Unfortunately, eBay has decided to shut down the service.
We would love to hear your feedback about any other tools you would like to see on your website. Contact Us.”I liked to use the service when buyers backed out of an offer, but mostly just for fun. I’ve see. Some weird stuff. But also have seen when the Buyer has found a similar item for cheaper. Not that it did me any good. I still cancelled the transaction.
