Michael d: Very solid monthly numbers, especially for summer.
12,000 items! What do you list and how do you store everything? That is a huge store!
Retro: Totally agree. We have adopted a lot of this in our lives as well, and feel so much better for doing it. No processed carbs except for buns when we get a Hamburger (I love a good burger!) and when we have mexican (too deep in our blood).
We don’t do breakfast anymore, and naturally only eat at lunch or dinner. I do like a bulletproof coffee in the mornings though. Removing the processed carbs has really made a difference in no longer feeling inflamed.
And yep, longer fasts are pretty easy now. I did a 3 day fast a while back and really need to do another one. While in Vegas, we overdid some eating one day so we just didn’t eat for about 36 hours and felt a lot better.

07/31/2018 at 8:23 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 371: T-Satt (Troy) Reports on eBay Open #46558Yeah, that’s what this place needs. More division! 🙂
I get it, but I do like the concept that the item specifics are more keywords for items to be found in search. All of the EBay folks, as well as some other sellers that I have followed, all state to use item specifics as much as possible. Again, anything to get eyeballs on the listing for me is worth it. Little investment in time…

So… here is what Veronica and I have done to speed up our process. We no longer put items in the spreadsheet once we bring them home. They don’t go into inventory until they’re listed.
This only becomes an issue at the end of the year, when anything unlisted has to get put in inventory for tax purposes. But it’s also good motivation to make that list as small as possible, avoiding dead piles.

There isn’t much in Winslow Arizona, but that little area was pretty cool.

07/31/2018 at 6:58 pm in reply to: Item Specifics 101: How to customize specifics for unique items? #46548Amatino: And if I could get SixBit to give me custom item specifics that I could duplicate in the Description, I would do that exact process, so that measurements are in both places. They do that on the eBay Item Specifics, but not on the Custom Item Specifics.
I’ll keep working on them…
07/31/2018 at 4:51 pm in reply to: Item Specifics 101: How to customize specifics for unique items? #46537So, we are on the other side from Jay and Ryanne, where we try to use as many item specifics as possible. They are perfect to help with structured data, and they help to get more relevant keywords to aid in search, since Item Specifics are used in search.
This is part of why I like templates, as for many items, I can use prefilled custom item specifics to save time in listing.
PS – Max number of item specifics on a listing is 25. I know, as I have gone over before… 🙂
07/31/2018 at 3:54 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 371: T-Satt (Troy) Reports on eBay Open #46533I totally agree. Speed and efficiency. This is why I stopped writing the listing sheet. I had to write the data and then later type it (or someone else would). Don’t touch it twice.
So, do you need the data in the spreadsheet? Or could you extract from WonderLister?
This formula is for your STR, but on a monthly basis. I like to keep both the Weekly STR and the Monthly STR on the same basis, so I put the weekly sales on a monthly rate.
So in this case, take the 80 sales for the week, divide by 7 (to get the rate of sales by day) then multiply by 30 to get a month’s worth of sales. Then divide by the inventory level at the beginning of the week (which is the ending inventory of last week).
The IF statement is just so that my tab shows a blank cell if I haven’t entered any information for the week.
07/31/2018 at 2:33 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 371: T-Satt (Troy) Reports on eBay Open #46526Mark: Interesting thought. For me though, I really like looking at the Item Specifics, especially the custom Item Specifics, to make sure that the proper keywords are on each listing. To that end, I use templates for every listing with Item Specifics prefilled and with commonly used options in the dropdowns provided by SixBit.
I’m going to expand this by using Custom Fields on the listings so that I can run reports faster to see just clothes/shoes/hard goods broken out.
Mike: Yep! The eBay team said that once they have more control on the payments, they will have the ability to having offers be auto-paid. Down the road, so don’t count on anything soon, but they are looking into it.
No problem. Numbers are my thing. Some artists use oils or clay…I use spreadsheets. 🙂
