Hey Joe, this is only my opinion but I took a quick look at your store, listing your most expensive items first.
You have a lot of long tail maybes, hope for the best items.
The higher price items are what you need to sell to bring that average up. We all sell the bread and butter stuff but it’s the 2 or 3 $100-$300 or more items we need to sell each week to make this work.Since you have a really large inventory, I would only seek out the high end items that have a higher probability of selling quickly. If you find 2 or 3 of those items each week you’ll have that start to work for you.
I hope I’m not making this sound simple as it’s not, you need some expertise in a number of areas and some luck in your search.
You have the experience so it’s really a matter of refining it.Sioux Falls
Sound quality is subjective but if there is no distortion and sound is coming out of both channels it should be good to go.
Shipping is all about having the material on hand and practice, I’ve shipp d hundred of amps and turntables without incident but the horror stories I read about shows that it takes time and effort to pack them correctly. The SR6000 is a late model Marantz and not real popular, the 2220B although only 20 watts per channel is still a nice amp.
Super scope is the company that bought Marantz in the 60’s and put out there on line of lower end equipment.Where are you located? Maybe you could sell me the lot.

• Total Items in Store: 778
• Items Sold: 21
• International 2 GSP, 4 to an overseas buying company
• Total Sales $1370
• Highest Price $200 phono cartridge
• Average Price Sold: $65
• Returns: 0
• Cost of Items Sold: $50
• Cost of items purchased this week $140Bought a junk drawer full of odd vintage audio bits at auction for $37, so far three items have sold for $410.
I don’t have a back up plan, I think it would take away my focus on the eBay job at hand.
If I can accumulate enough investment money I will follow R&J’s lead and get into rental property as a somewhat passive income but not really as a backup, more like a way to slow down as I get older.05/30/2017 at 3:15 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 312: Is eBay Removing Old listings? #18784It hasn’t shown up on my Paypal so I’m not sure what the problem is.
Brazil is in the GSP, he lives in Rio de Janeiro.05/30/2017 at 2:16 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 312: Is eBay Removing Old listings? #18780May 21-27 2017

Nice honest guy with good feedback. Hopefully it will get resolved. Would have made this dismal week a decent one.

05/25/2017 at 7:56 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Motorcycle wheel, Matchabelli cologne, Pendleton shirt, Radios, Vintage fan, Airplane kit #18582Since this wheel also had a sprocket and disc brake rotor on it I had to use styrofoam on top and bottom along with a lot of packing paper wadded up around the tire to fill the space.
Check with UPS, you may be able to ship a donut type wheel with just a tag attached with a wire. I think I’ve seen tires shipped that way.May 14-20 2017

05/15/2017 at 12:32 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 310: Am I Selling on eBay the Wrong Way? #18033I’ve often thought about that too, why don’t they make an offer?
I think some people just don’t want to bother with haggling, or are shy about it. I know people who would never think about making a lower offer on something at a garage sale.05/11/2017 at 7:31 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Tapes, Empty reels, LP Record Boxes, Antique photo album, Vtg Bike helmet, Ancient speaker #17863Wow!
