• Total Items in Store: 845
• Items Sold: 16 Total (15 eBay / 1 Bonanza )
• International 1 via GSP
• Total Sales $1540 ($1510 eBay / $30 Bonanza)
• Highest Price $480 Carver power amplifier

• Returns: 1 Polaroid camera changed mind
• Cost of Items Sold: $272
• Cost of items purchased this week $75The Polaroid rainbow camera buyer asked to return a week after receiving it claiming they found one cheaper, that’s fine return it.
Another week went buy and just before I was to call eBay to close the return I get a return shipment notification. It arrived safe and sound.
I hope they got another real cheap as this cost them shipping and a 20% restock fee.
Maybe they just wanted to rent it.09/16/2017 at 6:24 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Christian Dior sunglasses, Bose speakers, Lucchese boots, Artists pochade box, GE Wildcat record player #22896Yes, it’s gratifying when you spend time refurbishing something and it sells. Sometimes I feel like a repairman with too many projects, but I always try to find time for the 6 string.

Never say anything derogatory about the item, in fact try and do the opposite without sugar coating it too much. I often stay “that’s a fair price but I’m just not willing to spend that much today”.
Feel out how desperate they may be.
Make an offer that you intend to be declined and countered, it may surprise you.09/14/2017 at 2:48 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Christian Dior sunglasses, Bose speakers, Lucchese boots, Artists pochade box, GE Wildcat record player #22834I point the remote at my iphone’s front facing camera lens and test the buttons, you can see the emitter flash.
Sept 2 to 8 2017 $1480
• Total Items in Store: 835
• Items Sold: 17 Total (15 eBay / 1 Bonanza / 1 Truegether)
• International 2 via GSP
• Total Sales $1649 ($1572 eBay / $50 Bonanza / $27 Truegether)
• Highest Price $700 Marantz preamp
• Average Price Sold: $97
• Returns: 0
• Cost of Items Sold: $325
• Cost of items purchased this week $50Weird message from eBay saying the sale on the Marantz preamp has been removed and this came a day after I shipped it. Apparently the buyer notified eBay that his account has been hacked and eBay says no further communications with this buyer is allowed.
Of course I got right on the phone with eBay CS and they said that as long as the money is in my account it shouldn’t be a problem. I remember I also received a message from the buyer immediately after the sale wanting it shipped to a different address which is actually not far from his verified address and I agreed to send it there which in hindsight now makes me nervous. I emailed the buyer via his PayPal email address and he replied that yes he did purchase the preamp so hopefully there won’t be any further trouble.
The sale was completely removed from ebay, it shows up in my what sold but if you click on it it goes nowhere, so no eBay protections and if there is a problem I guess it will have to be resolved through Paypal’s resolution center.09/08/2017 at 11:42 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Stereos, Model cars, CPR Anytime trainer, Vintage Starburst clock, HP calculator, Winter overalls, Men's cologne #22660I used to be concerned with winter scavenging without yard sales and I hoarded a lot of stuff but over time I’ve learned that there is still a lot of resources available during those months.
Auctions, estate sales, Craigslist and now Facebook Marketplace plus I seem to have never ending death piles.09/04/2017 at 5:14 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 325: New Rental Done, Now Hopping On A Plane! #22527Aug 28 to Sept 1 2017 $1480
• Total Items in Store: 846
• Items Sold: 20 Total 18 eBay / 2 Facebook Marketplace (2 sets of Jarts)
• International 1 via GSP
• Total Sales $1515 $1315 eBay / $200 FB Marketplace
• Highest Price $500 starburst clock
• Average Price Sold: $76
• Returns: 1 Garrard turntable headshell, changed mind (already resold)
• Cost of Items Sold: $111
• Cost of items purchased this week $100I wonder if that site would have worked the $400 TV set that I shipped the day of the eclipse? It had never shown a scan, says sender has prepared the shipping label, the buyer contacted me to let me know a few days after shipping and I told him it would probably be updated. I never heard back from him so I guess he got it. Still shows no scan or that it arrived, could be trouble if an unscrupulous buyer opened a case.
The $400 Fender amp I shipped to the GSP center in Kentucky bound for Australia was intercepted and rejected for shipment, the buyer was refunded and I kept the money, wonder what happens to the amp?

You’ll definately get an idea of small town life, that is some middle of nowhere territory. I’m sure some great stuff will be found.08/28/2017 at 1:33 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 324: A Day In The Life Of A Scavenger VIDEO! #22272Aug 21-27 2017

That deck on the river house is amazing, I love all the details and finishing touches. You must’ve spent a fair amount on the furnishings, those adirondack chairs are great, I’m looking for a pair myself.08/25/2017 at 2:09 pm in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Brass pipe holder, 70's mod TV, 8-Track recorder, Brass butterfly book stand, Polaroid rainbow camera #22212Yes, it’s just like Craigslist except you can find out a little more about the person sometimes by checking out their FB page.
I usually just have them come to my home if it’s a large item but have met people at a neutral site as well.08/24/2017 at 9:46 am in reply to: What Sells On eBay: Brass pipe holder, 70's mod TV, 8-Track recorder, Brass butterfly book stand, Polaroid rainbow camera #22182I forgot to include the Jarts I sold on FB Marketplace.
