I read this as LS. I believe the brand is Lia Sophia.
I did look at the listing and the list of countries in the shipping section, and Russia was not there, so I do believe that GSP is not available to him. I don’t know how reliable Russia’s postal system is, so I was reluctant to send via Priority International. (I mean, if eBay doesn’t want to do it maybe there’s a reason.) I guess I was wondering if Boxberry is somehow more reliable. This is what they say on their site:
“Boxberry is one of the biggest logistics companies, leading in amount of parcel offices in Russian Federation. We provide delivery of goods from foreign online stores to Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Our high quality service is the result of perfect logistics and 25-year experience of work with “the last mile”.
Thanks Jay for posting the tip from BethGreen above. Great idea. I had one item sell in the 14-16 oz range recently and noticed that the buyer was charged too much, but didn’t realize what was going on until hearing the podcast. I don’t suppose there is any way to filter my listings to find all of them that weigh 14-16 oz 🙁
Cubist?
Just a follow up: I went through the jadite guide book, and this bowl was in there, described as a “clambroth console bowl”. They didn’t attribute it to a manufacturer though. But at least I can feel more confident about describing it as vintage.
Thanks for the link. I will definitely use “clambroth” in the title. And my library has the Jadite guide book mentioned, so I placed a hold on it.
01/28/2019 at 3:05 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 396: Guaranteed Delivery? How is that working? #56027On the topic of late shipping, I recently looked at my late shipment report. I have 4 items listed as late. They are all from the same day last February. I remember the day. I brought the items to the post office just as a snowstorm was moving in. Snow is pretty rare here, so when it happens the whole city shuts down and most people stay home from work. Including post office personnel apparently, since my items did not get scanned. (I take my packages to the post office a few blocks from my house, but they don’t get scanned until they reach the main post office downtown.) Anyway, just wanted to say that winter weather can also be a factor in late shipping. Does anyone know when these “dings” will drop off my record? I’m hoping at the one year point, but don’t really know.
Ha-ha. I think you’re right on with the hippie thing. The guy on the back looks like the logo for Zig Zag rolling papers. The front looks like a rainbow dove, not sure if there is a special significance to it. Reminds me of when I was a little kid in the 70s, I had a babysitter who used to cover her jeans with embroidery similar to this. I’m sure this is someone’s handiwork. Question is does that add or detract from the value???
01/10/2019 at 6:57 pm in reply to: New Goodwill Outlet in Hagerstown MD (aka the bins, weigh & pay ….) #54901Much better pricing OP than our Goodwill Outlets. I go about once a week in the mornings to my closest bins. There are a bunch of regulars who are obviously resellers, but they are generally polite and will even help each other out finding items, because some people are known to specialize in certain things. Also since we need to have 25lbs to get a lower per lb price, we will often check out together (one person collects cash from the others and pays for the whole thing). I don’t know why management allows that, but they do. I can’t say I’ve had a bad experience, but then again, our outlet is huge and there is plenty to go around for everyone.
01/09/2019 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Ebay not counting Dec 5th as Postal Holiday in Late Tracking Uploaded Metric #54835I just noticed that today my ding (I only had one for Dec 5) was removed. I did not call eBay to request it. It just happened.
12/21/2018 at 8:51 pm in reply to: Ebay not counting Dec 5th as Postal Holiday in Late Tracking Uploaded Metric #53860Yes, I noticed my late shipping rate went up as well. I did have a package or two that was delayed by the Dec 5 day of mourning. Glad it is not just me.
Not just this last week, but the entire month of November was super slow for me. Sales about 30% lower than last year. Not sure what to attribute it to. My store is small, only a little over 300 items. I know that adding more items might give me more consistent sales, but storage space is an issue. I’ve also been reluctant to use promoted listings, because it just feels like eBay extorting more money from us sellers. Items that I have promoted do not seem to sell any faster, but no way to know for sure. I was also away on vacation for 5 days at the beginning of the month, that is when sales took their nosedive. October was not bad at all.
I had never heard of Drapers & Damons or seen their clothing while scavenging, must only be in certain parts of the country. But I have done well with clothing items that definitely appeal to the mature set on eBay. I’m guessing that older people are more likely to use eBay to shop for used clothes, while younger people probably go to Poshmark first.
Clothing ornament? I could see someone using this as a ponytail holder, in conjunction with a rubber band.
No, I checked. The fabric is definitely not inside out. The logo is not really readable at all on the other side.
