Gaofeng is a city in Hunan, may refer to the city where it was made rather than an artist’s name.
I just got a sale to Japan through GSP. It is a book that I was planning to send by media mail to Kentucky, but now not sure after reading almasty’s comment about a media mail shipment taking over two months. It’s very heavy but will fit in the MFRB.
I personally have been waiting on an item I ordered from a Japanese seller on eBay on April 2nd. It was sent by Japanese post with no tracking, so I have no idea where it is.
I have had two sales to Europe via Etsy’s international shipping program. The first one, to London, was ordered on May 8. According to the tracking, it arrived in the UK on May 23, but has yet to be delivered. So it’s been sitting in some facility there for over two weeks now.
Nice. I hope we can combine the extra shipping coupon with the regular one. I have the basic store, only $25. It’s not enough to purchase a lot of the shipping items that they offer.
I second the no-knead bread, make it all the time. Also yes to cabbage! Last time I went to the grocery store the produce section was half empty. No potatoes or onions at all, but plenty of cabbage.
You could say decor or decorator fabric instead of upholstery. That’s how I would describe it. This looks like nice, quality fabric. You should do well with it.
Sometimes with fabric I take a photo to try to give the buyer an idea about its drape. Especially if it is apparel fabric. I just had my first sale with the new Etsy global shipping. Buyer paid the same rate as before, in this case $13.78 for a 4 oz package to Europe. The payment went to me, then I was charged 13.78 for a label addressed to California. I’m a little confused as to how the shipping cost can be the same now that the package is making two trips, one domestic and one international, not to mention the additional labor required to receive and re-label shipments from the shipping center.

You can hide your items in vacation mode, if you check the box that says “Keep people from buying your fixed price listings while you’re on vacation. Your auction style listings will still run as scheduled.” I only used this once, when I was in Cuba and had no internet, and can verify that I had absolutely no sales while in this mode.
This happened to me as well. Look for the link in the upper right that says “customize” and you can add and remove fields, including the SKU.
Was going to reply sooner, but was on vacation and didn’t know my password for the forums. Anyway not 100% sure, but this reminds me of a hotel room phone. The memo light blinks when there is a message for you at the front desk. Reset stops the light blinking. In and Out to let them know if you are in your room or not. So the phone doesn’t ring and ring when you’re not there. The bottom light goes on when you set the switch to “out” to remind you when you come back to the room that the phone is still set to “out”.
The weird thing to me is the image on the sole is taken from Northwest Coast (of North America) Native art, so has nothing to do with Europe or Hong Kong/China.
Last time I was there was about 4 years ago. I love to go to the flea markets. I didn’t really buy anything to resell, just old kimonos for me and woodworking tools for my husband. Those are popular items, but like you say there are many direct from Japan sellers for them.
Yes, I go to the Goodwill bins regularly (about once a week). The regular Goodwills tend to be too expensive around here. I also feel like there are more interesting items to be found in the bins. Some bins are filled with items from the regular stores that didn’t sell, but most bins at my location are filled with unsorted donations. Sometimes this is a clear-out of grandma or grandpa’s home resulting in some cool vintage finds. I don’t find a whole lot of big ticket items, but I love the treasure hunt. I also get all my personal crafting/sewing supplies (I find unused fabric all the time) as well as some clothing from there since I try to avoid buying new whenever possible.
It’s a molinillo, in other words a Mexican chocolate stirring stick.
