Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I already ordered stuff with my quarterly coupon.
I have until Sunday to decide if I want to upgrade. I’ll probably do it. I definitely see that, as the store grows, so do sales and I’m willing to give it a shot for one year. But I do have to figure out a way to use a fair amount of those included auction listings.01/09/2020 at 3:28 pm in reply to: Item listed AS-IS FOR PARTS in every possible place, buyer wants to return… #72723As a novice seller, these sorts of stories are why I don’t know if I will ever get into “for parts” selling even though I’ve heard it can be very lucrative. This reminds me of a “returns” question/comment I want to bring up, but I will do that in the shipping section of the forum
Since I first posted this, the buyer has not responded to my message asking if she got it, but she gave me positive feedback about the purchase Can I just mark the item delivered on my own?
I sort of knew that was the answer. Luckily it’s a pretty cheap item, so there’s no chance of a financial disaster this time.
Thanks MDC I am grateful to have this resource and the podcast which I have been listening to daily for a couple months now. You’re especially right about the stress of experiencing all those firsts. But I’m having a lot of fun. I don’t consider this a business yet, but a hobby that I actually make money from instead of one that most people have that can be a money pit.
Thanks guys. I guess I’m just nervous because I’m new to this.
Thanks for all the feedback. I am working on growing my listings. I do struggle a little over setting prices and I often go back to revise listings multiple times in various ways by changing the asking price, the minimum offer, whether or not I will even take offers etc. Hopefully, I’ll do less second guessing as I get more experience.
Sharyn, how do you set that up as a seller? I might like to try that. I have a couple items that get many vies, but no watchers and no offers yet.
Thanks everyone. Very helpful.
I got up the nerve to do some dumpster diving behind some big box stores at a local mall. I drove by them one day just to see the lay of the land. The next day I stopped and looked in. I saw about 50 brand new sealed dog chews in the Petsmart dumpster, but it was a long way down and I wasn’t ready to actually get inside. Then I found a plastic bag full of “deflated” soccer balls in the Dicks Sporting Goods dumpster which I quickly grabbed and dropped in my trunk. Later I checked them and discovered they had all been slashed so they can’t be sold. Lesson learned. Didn’t think to check for that on the spot.
Thanks guys. I knew I’d get an answer, and fast.
