@mycottage we only had to pay for one before we quit selling so I feel like it was a good call for us but we are anxious to get back into it. Thanks for the info my friend !
Tony
Thanks Ryanne ! I appreciate that. I may wait a few more days just to be on the safe side but really looking forward to selling again. We really had no idea if it was still as bad as it was or had cleared out some so thank you for letting us know.
Tony
PS. Deidre says hi !
12/15/2020 at 6:13 am in reply to: We Put Our Store on Vacation a 2nd Time Due to USPS Problems #84312@amatino wow that is incredible, our lines are no where near that long but once the item leaves my post office it’s in no mans land for weeks so yeah I think for now just putting things on pause makes a lot of sense. I think things will get better after toward the end of January but that is just a guess.
@wbird I know the feeling, it just sucks and there doesn’t seem to be a remedy. I guess for those that can afford the occasional loss it’s ok to just keep pushing forward and hoping for the best but right now we don’t need the money so yeah putting the brakes on for now.
@sharyn hey $89 ain’t no joke and I do hope it works out, everything seems to still be moving but at a snails pace and ebay hasn’t yet put any protections in place for us that I have been made aware of. Fingers crossed yours gets there before the deadline, I’ll say a little prayer for you, couldn’t hurt.Merry Christmas Yall
Tony12/14/2020 at 10:50 am in reply to: We Put Our Store on Vacation a 2nd Time Due to USPS Problems #84277@mycottage I am glad you got your money back, I wasn’t so lucky, it was a pushy and difficult buyer and I am frankly glad it’s over but I have no desire to go through that again. I hope you and yours have a great Christmas !
I only mentioned that I shipped on time to show I am protected under the ebay seller protection program from any kind of defect because of a “Late” delivery. I’m not worried at all, just a little miffed that ebay doesn’t at least look at a case before funds are put on hold. The item is in transit and I’m sure will be delivered without a doubt in my mind. I’m watching the tracking and it’s still moving, just slowly. There wasn’t any money for them to hold since they had just sent a payout, right now I have a negative ebay balance, lol. I’m sure once a ebay human takes a look at the case they will find in my favor. All they have to do is look at the tracking.
got my payout too, came in this morning. I noticed they did the retry at 3:22pm yesterday so next time this happens if it ever happens again I think I’m going to do what @Sonia and @Amatino are doing, just going to do nothing for a couple days and see if it resolves on it’s own. I admit I was in a bit of a panic until I saw the rest of you guys were having a similar issue so YAY Scavengerlife forum, lol. I really appreciate all you guys that responded.
Thanks for that IndySales, Hopefully it will all be resolved soon. I wonder how long it takes for them to retry the deposit, I would assume 24 hours but I dunno.
well I’m sorry it’s got you too, I do feel better knowing it’s not just me if you know what i mean.
11/28/2020 at 10:47 am in reply to: How To Handle Global Shipping NOT AS DESCRIBED Returns ( Please Read ) #83778Hiya bcfol440, yeah I hear you and I know how frustrating ebay can be. They have a process which they don’t even advertise and that is just crazy to me. I wouldn’t have known about it if I hadn’t been listening to ebay radio back when it was on. The funny thing is even though I provided the audio and you can hear Griff tell step by step how it’s done, some ppl still won’t believe that is how these are handled. For me, I don’t care, I put the information out there and if ppl choose to use it or not that is fine so i feel like I did my part for the community.
hiya Mike, I’m still getting those notices. Maybe there is a way to turn it off?
11/01/2020 at 10:11 am in reply to: How To Handle Global Shipping NOT AS DESCRIBED Returns ( Please Read ) #83058It’s as clear as muddy water on the ebay site. I was really happy that Griff got cornered on this issue and actually gave a blow by blow so to speak on how to handle it.
Cheers!

I hope this saves a few people some aggravation down the road.
11/01/2020 at 1:50 am in reply to: How To Handle Global Shipping NOT AS DESCRIBED Returns ( Please Read ) #83040Sorry, replied to myself, anyways I know it’s a bit confusing because the caller had made the mistake of excepting the return so Griff was explaining to the guy what to do since he had already made his boo-boo so this is not how you would handle it. If you do it correctly you do not except the return and you tell them to open a case and this will not impact your account in any way.
Griff even says specifically you do not send them a shipping label, the buyer has to work through the global shipping program to get it back to you.
so to recap, do not except the return and have the customer open a case and EBAY will take it from there. don’t call EBAY that is not the way it’s done the customer has to open a case that’s the only way it works.
