I have found myself getting more frustrated with my job lately because I just want to sell full time. I had to give myself a reality check and remind myself that my jobs isn’t so bad. I work from home full-time, I can ask off work whenever I need to… I still want to go full time, but am going to try to enjoy my job until I can make the leap. I did ask for a raise last week though and think I might get one! 🙂
Here’s my “what sells on eBay” post for the month of February.
I’m also starting a Facebook group where I’ll have a couple of weekly eBay threads if anyone is interested in joining. The two threads I’m going to run for now are best finds of the week and best sales of the week. Would love for you guys to share what you’re finding and what you’re selling.
Numbers for the month of January:
Amount of Items sold: 39
Gross sales: $775.37
Cost of goods sold: $79.99
Profits after all expenses: $615.56
Average profit per item: $15.78
Ended the month with a total of 337 listings
Not sure how much it would cost, but Patagonia will supposedly repair anything that gets worn out.

Here’s my what sells on eBay update for the month of December. I don’t think I’m doing too bad for having less than 300 items in my store.
Just noticed on my active listings page that I can set a filter to show the listings that are eligible to send offers to watchers. Once I set that filter, I’m able to click where it says “eligible for offers” and that takes me to the send offer to watcher page.

Gross sales: $883.23

Profits after all expenses: $707.88

What about if you only use money from the bank account connected to godaddy to buy things with? I’m looking into start using godaddy, so I’m not sure how it works. Could you just add all of you expenses from the bank account that you use for eBay which would include money you withdraw to pay cash for items?
Was hoping to be able to stop punching each item I buy into a spreadsheet but isn’t looking like I’m going to be able to avoid that. Guess it won’t be too bad when I’m doing this full time.
There’s a business that has become pretty popular in the Mr. Money Mustache community. It’s called Pop Up Business School. Basically, it’s a business that helps people start their business. If you were to commit to starting the brick and mortar store, you might get some good ideas from them. I haven’t personally used them and don’t know how much they charge for their services though. Yeah, no problem! I’ve only sold one thing from it and gave a 50% off offer on the item that sold.
If I were a watcher and received an offer from the seller, I’d think it was cool! I’m not a grumpy buyer though lol
There’s also a link to this page on the page it takes me to after sending offers, but I didn’t see anything about sending offers to watchers when I skimmed through it.

It’s right at the top for me. It shows a few of my listings and has a send offer button over to the right of the page. I sent a bunch of offers yesterday and had one sale.
After I sent the offers it took me to a page that had a link that said “do you like sending offers” and I clicked on that and it was a review page. Gave it 5 stars and wrote in the comment section that it would be good to give the buyers the option to not receive offers like you mentioned so we aren’t spamming them.
