What about if you only use money from the bank account connected to godaddy to buy things with? I’m looking into start using godaddy, so I’m not sure how it works. Could you just add all of you expenses from the bank account that you use for eBay which would include money you withdraw to pay cash for items?
Was hoping to be able to stop punching each item I buy into a spreadsheet but isn’t looking like I’m going to be able to avoid that. Guess it won’t be too bad when I’m doing this full time.
11/26/2018 at 2:21 pm in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 387: Do Black Friday, Small Business Saturday or Cyber Monday Matter? #52298There’s a business that has become pretty popular in the Mr. Money Mustache community. It’s called Pop Up Business School. Basically, it’s a business that helps people start their business. If you were to commit to starting the brick and mortar store, you might get some good ideas from them. I haven’t personally used them and don’t know how much they charge for their services though. Here’s the link if you want to check them out.
You’re welcome! It’s a cool little feature
Yeah, no problem! I’ve only sold one thing from it and gave a 50% off offer on the item that sold.
If I were a watcher and received an offer from the seller, I’d think it was cool! I’m not a grumpy buyer though lol
There’s also a link to this page on the page it takes me to after sending offers, but I didn’t see anything about sending offers to watchers when I skimmed through it.

It’s right at the top for me. It shows a few of my listings and has a send offer button over to the right of the page. I sent a bunch of offers yesterday and had one sale.
After I sent the offers it took me to a page that had a link that said “do you like sending offers” and I clicked on that and it was a review page. Gave it 5 stars and wrote in the comment section that it would be good to give the buyers the option to not receive offers like you mentioned so we aren’t spamming them.
I need to go back and send as many offers as I can and see if I get any sales. Haven’t tried sending any recently.

We could go scavenging together some time but I guess that wouldn’t work since we’d be competing against each other lol. I clicked on your profile and noticed you mentioned you’ve been an extra. I did that too a few times! Crazy how many movies are being filmed here now.

I’m not sure, I didn’t have any responses from the offers I sent.
Congrats on the stove! I had a similar situation recently. My non-frugal friends are moving and they sold us their Samsung fridge and stove for $200 total! They probably paid close to $2,000 for them new and I tried to make them let us pay them more! I was able to sell our old fridge and stove for $200 so we basically upgraded our appliances for free. We’ll be getting them a really nice house-warming gift lol.
“They probably make enough money at their job to spend $1,200 on something and it doesn’t matter.”
I’m trying to get across to people on my blog that it doesn’t matter how much money you make, if you spend it all, you’re not going to end up wealthy. If they had invested that $1,200 that they spent on the item they didn’t use and just let the money sit for the next 40 years, it would grow into over $26,000!!
Here’s my monthly eBay report for October. Still have a lot of growing to do but my sales are gradually going up! We just got back from a week in Costa Rica and sold 7 things while we were gone! Really glad I learned to update the handling time from you guys. Didn’t have anyone back out of a sale even though the handling time was set to 10 days!
Hmm well, I only have 200 items in my store so maybe they’re testing this with smaller sellers first or something.
Okay, I just tried it again and the send offer option is back up! it’s showing more of my items with watchers now. I noticed the word “beta” is in the URL so maybe they’ve made this option live without telling anyone..
Here’s the page
I sent a few offers and now that I’ve done it a few times, I’m getting this message:
Some of the information wasn’t able to load. You may see more info the next time you come back.
The missing information just happens to be the items that had “send offer” on them. I noticed that it didn’t list all of my items with watchers, only a few. It was cool for the 5 mintues it lasted for me haha.
10/22/2018 at 10:04 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 382: Treasure Hunting with a Fishnet #50524I just went to the settings page and found that you have two upload options. You can upload the photos as the original file size, or you can let google reduce the file size. If you let google reduce the file size, then you get unlimited storage. They reduce any photos above 16 megapixels and claim that you can print high quality photos that are 24″ x 16″ at 16 megapixels so that should be plenty for eBay photos. They don’t say specifically how much storage you get if you don’t reduce the file size, but I’ve got hundreds, if not thousands of pictures uploaded at original file size and they say I still have about 12GB left.
