Once someone left me positive feedback that said: Thanks for the fast shipping! You were like ninjas!
I have about 500 items in my store and make about $1000 per month, although that doubled before Christmas. I would like some better way to track my numbers that guess-timating. How do you all know your exact number of items sold, costs and profits short of adding it all up by hand?
I sell very few single books. I may list a single book if it is rare or special in some way. Mostly I accumulate books by certain authors or on certain subjects until I have a big enough set to list in a lot. Otherwise, it is too much work for too little money.
What is a long tail book?
I’ve had 3 sales to interesting buyers:
A vintage suitcase to a company that buys vintage items in order to make replicas for shop window displays.
A vintage baby book that went to a home in Beverly Hills. I googled the address and there were two semi-famous actresses listed at the address.
A lot of decorator books for an instant library that also went to Beverly Hills and the semi-famous actress who bought them used her own name on her address and Paypal account, which surprised me.
The letter C that stands for copyright always has a circle around it.
I think your piece might be from the store Charming Charlie. The clasp and mark look similar to this piece:

Yes, so at least I can complete my claim with the post office. I assume that I insured this item since it cost over $50, but I have no way to check that without being able to see the original listing, do I?
I found it in my Paypal records – thank you!
It seems to have mysteriously disappeared from Ebay altogether. I cannot find it by searching Ebay solds or under sold items in my store or under my Paid/Shipped items. I even did an Advanced Search by Item Number and nothing…..
So weird!

The packing slips shows the tracking number but I couldn’t figure out how to search on that. Is it possible I have my records set for only 60 days instead of 90 days and can adjust that somehow?
I tried Amazon and got overwhelmed by how different it was from Ebay, so never followed through. After listening to you all talk about your experience with Amazaon, I decided not to pursue it further. I am more interested in quality than quantity.

I hate to be a buzz-killer here, but I lived in Niger for three and a half years and I am almost certain that this bag is NOT a Tuareg bag. If you google images for Tuareg bags, you will see that they all have some turquoise and/or red dye somewhere on the leather. Also, the fringes are cut very narrow. I think that the bag shown on Worthpoint was actually misidentified. The quality of the leather used in Tuareg bags is much thinner and glossier than what was used in your bag, and the designs and stitching are not at all similar to those used by the Tuaregs. It is possible that it comes from other North African tribe, or more likely, is Native American.
