Wow, what a weirdo! He is probably a delight at parties.
The only one that I remember was positive, but sort of passive aggressive. “This item is older, but not vintage. 5 stars”. Er, ok. It was 40 years old, so, yeah. Vintage. *shrug*

About 5 years ago when I first started selling on the internet, I sold used books on Amazon. I always industrial strength packaged the books with lots of B flute and tape. I had only been selling about a month or so when a letter with no return address showed up in my mail box. It had a New York postmark so I kind of figured out who the person was. It was a delightful letter telling me about his adventure in getting my package open 🙂 He said he finally had to resort to a clam shell knife to pry it open. Then he added, “Seriously, you don’t need to use so much tape.” I got quite a kick out of the letter and appreciated the effort he took to help out a new seller. And yes, I did reduce my tape usage!

I’ve had a buyer mistakenly write a positive feedback when he obviously meant to give me a negative. It was a long, angry complaint that cut off mid sentence once he hit the word limit. I wonder how many paragraphs he typed, oblivious that his rant would never be seen?
I try to be creative in the auto feedback I leave for buyers, but sometimes it leads to confusion.
“Thank you, but your princess is in another castle.”
Someone who had never played Mario Bros sent me a frantic message after that one. They thought that feedback meant I was going to send the item to a different address than the one they provided.

Once someone left me positive feedback that said: Thanks for the fast shipping! You were like ninjas!

“Omg this seller is among the elite the best. ..handled my problem like a god”
The only thing I did was take out one pair of socks that he didn’t want in the lot, reduce the price, and let him buy.

“This package would have survived being thrown off a tall building.” about a glass item that I was terrified wouldn’t survive the mail carrier.

Had a buyer in Spain purchase a vintage he-man figure and asked me to pack it as if barbarians we going to trample it! That is what he referenced the postal workers in his country to. So I did. He received it and sent a positive message back. He-Man lives for yet another day!Barbarians destroyed!

I only leave odd or interesting feedback 🙂 Regular “Best buyer ever A+++” stuff is so boring – no one reads through actual feedback because of that. I used to write political messages or silly stuff like what you received. Decided it wasn’t worth alienating or upsetting buyers, so now I leave song/poetry lyrics or politically relevant biblical verses.
