9 for me, of which 1 was Christmas. I hope everyone has a good week!
07/08/2020 at 6:53 am in reply to: Scavenger Life Episode 470: How Would You Start Your Business Today? #79239I had this happen to me a couple of times with media mail as well. Someone on the forum, I think it was Sharyn, said that she signed up with USPS to get tracking updates and this seemed to move the item along. I did this, too, and I also found that the packages seemed to get moving again after doing so. Maybe completely coincidental, but at least it made me feel like I had a little agency in the process 🙂
I had this happen to me several weeks ago, also for a rag doll in the Black Americana category. I was really beginning to question myself, as I didn’t see why it would be considered offensive. However, I certainly don’t want to offend anyone whether intentionally or not, so I let it go.
Anyway, maybe 2-3 weeks later I got an apologetic email from ebay that said it was taken down in error, and said I could relist it. They suggested listing it in the dolls and bears category instead, which I did. They also said they were giving me a $20 credit towards my fees. Maybe you will get this same email.
To echo what plight said, I did do some searches after the initial takedown and found numerous items that seemed unquestionably offensive. So I don’t really understand ebay’s algorithim. But personally, I’m glad they’re trying to do something, however inept their execution.
19 for me. One was Christmas.
I found this one using search terms “christmas tree candleholder luminary stained glass”
17 for me. I cleaned out a couple of boxes but didn’t get to the one that I had specifically identified for the challenge.
GoodRx works for pets, too. My dog has prescription eyedrops. Without the coupon they were over $100; with coupon, $16. I didn’t even have to sign up, I just print the coupon or show it on my phone at the pharmacy. I’m grateful for it, but also don’t really get why it works.
It’s not just an ebay rule, there are federal laws that limit the sale of ivory (I don’t know much about it, but I do know it has to be a certain age and you have to have the documents to prove it) and some states prohibit the sale entirely regardless of age.
0 for me. I think I forgot to post the week before, it was likewise a very forgettable 0. Already improved on that today.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad things are getting settled. Welcome back!
I have what I think is a similar piece. It’s like pieces of carpet that have been glued on to a backer of burlap, so the area under the “carpet” is stiff. Then this whole assembly has been glued onto another larger piece of burlap, forming a design, with a yarn outline glued around it. Is that what you have?
I say carpet because it looks to me like the fibers are twisted like they would be in carpet, not loops like you would expect with latch hook or punch needle.
I’ve done punch needle before and I wouldn’t describe this as that. And it doesn’t look like latch hook, either. But I can’t help you with a name beyond that, unfortunately. I decided I liked mine and also didn’t want to deal with shipping it as it’s rather long and somewhat fragile, so it’s hanging in my office. That got me out of figuring out what to call it.
29 for me. Still deciding on which box to tackle!
Oh no!!! Sending you lots of positive vibes and get well wishes, Amatino!
Hi Amatino, hope you are on the path to a speedy recovery.
Only 5 items for me this past week. I sold a total of 4 items in the challenge.
Amatino, I hope you feel better soon!
