I noticed that we lost 200 listings. Then they came back.
Im pushing way for the afternoon and see what things are like later 🙂
Huh, all good on our homefront.
Sounds like a glitch. I agree that Inkfrog is nice to have as a backup.
Removal of the Existing Promoted Listing credit (TRS and Anchor stores)
This is probably a good thing. Everyone is just spamming promoted items currently. If everything is promoted, is anything really promoted?
This would be my recommendation. Calculated shipping solves all problems.
I believe in better safe than sorry. Not sure when we’d feel comfortable going back to live auctions where we stand around people in enclosed rooms for hours. That’s much different than picking up items quickly when you buy online.
I guess outdoor auctions would be safe, but as you mentioned, most auctions I go to are populated by folks who are pretty anti-authoritarian so likely low mask usage.
There’s just so much we dont know about this current virus and how effective these vaccines are. Im hopeful we reach herd immunity with enough vaccinations by the summer, but we’re still far from out of the deep end yet IMHO.
Yes, add a handling fe if you feel it’s going to take you time and cost you money for materials.
What do you think your time is worth? How much will it cost to pack it?
Huh. I’ve never heard of this. Hawaii is a US state so should fall under standard USPS postage.
You’re saying there’s an added $10 to ship something to Hawaii on top of the standard shipping fee? Can you share a link that explains this?I could just be ignorant.
Every auction we’ve been to says that once you win the bid, the item is your responsibility. So once I win something, we always “take possession” of it by labeling the box, or even putting in our vehicle if it’s valuable.
I remember my first auctions being very nerve racking because of the speed and noise. but once you understand the auctioneer’s language, its easy to block out the noise from the signal.
For me, its good to know what I want, how much I’m willing to spend, and be very intentional in sending a signal to the auctioneer. There’s no room for wavering or indecision.
Someone else here had a flood in their basement and came back from it. Maybe it’ll give you a chance to find more dependable storage. Spring is coming!
I’m sorry this happened to you. If things have been difficult for you, I’m sure that water damage can feel like a gut punch.
Best thing to do is approach this as logically as you can. Get everything away from the water to a dry place. Then start drying items out. Clothes, ties, etc will all clean up in the wash. Hard good should be good. Anything too damaged should be removed from eBay so you avoid “defects” because you have to cancel sales.
How many items are in your eBay inventory?
Paypal offered this same service. Not sure why they’d need to charge a fee to get money to us quicker.
I’ve looked at patch lots before and most look really generic. But I guess its all about selling a many many of $5-$10 patches versus selling special patches for $100.
It’s amazing that you sell 5-10 patches a day even now. I had no idea there was such a demand for patches and that they were so easy to scavenge.
We’ve sold patches but they certainly dont sell fast.
It’s super impressive what he’s built (and what you’re building). I’m always amazed at the sellers who are listing machines. It’s the key to success that we preach. Always be listing.
But it’s one thing to list 20 items in an hour. Or even spend all day listing. But then to do the same thing the next day and the next and the next. My mind would melt from the monotony.
Let us know how downgrading your store works out.
