I sell mostly books and clothes. I don’t put much in the description field anymore. For books, I put any major defects, publisher, date and # of pages. For clothing, I put the measurements, type of material, and a few other items. I have definitely cut back on the info that I but in that field.
I also looked at it on my phone and your listing is clear that you are only buying one of the selected items not all of them. Unfortunately, some people are just …. special.

A few different YouTubers bought a mystery box of books that we had listed on eBay. It went viral and we were getting at least 100 orders a day. It sure helped save our B&M store during Covid. A few different buyers sent me the links so I was able to see the videos.
Thanks for the lost money site info. I found some money that my company is owed!
I am now in the prepay for your offers group. The only thing I don’t like about that is that I can’t use eBay gift cards to pay for my order, I have to use a credit card. I buy eBay gift cards at my local grocery store for fuel points. Between Amazon and eBay gift card buying I’m able to have enough points to get $1.00 off per gallon of gas. It really makes a difference these days.
Love it! Gotta keep work fun.
My husband has this sixth sense for thrift stores too. He’ll be like, I need to go to X place today and find some incredible stuff for us to list.
I am also one of the unlucky ones forced to migrate to the new tool. The Custom Label field is there for me but prices disappear for me when I resume a draft. Now, I memorize the price before I enter a draft so I can reenter it.
I also miss the recommended item specifics. I dislike the new shipping pull downs. My default shipping now longer says default so I have to hunt around for it.
I liked the old version where everything was on the page and I could pick and choose items for my listing versus this new version with pull downs. 😛
Hi Retro –
I checked out your marker listing. I put 4 markers in my cart, discount was applied and shipping was free.
My county assesses a tax on inventory also. It’s based on your COGS. Thankfully there is a threshold of $250,000 and I’m usually under that so usually no taxes for me to pay.
I buy from The Boxery too. Their products are good, prices are reasonable and they ship fast. When I need to order from them, I check between their website and eBay. Sometimes it’s cheaper to order from them on eBay.

My sales have been lower than usual the last few days too.
That is cool! I love this idea. Reminds me of buying stuff for my avatar/house on a video game. Does that mean we really are living in a simulation?
Your podcasts will be sorely missed! You two have been a constant in my life for so many years. You have passed on such great knowledge and shared so much of your lives. I hope you will keep the forums going and update us on your adventures from time to time. I’m hoping to make it to Luray at some point and try out your bakery/coffee shop. Wishing you two all the best and much success!!
