Bookseller here. I have sold on ABE in the past. IMHO, it’s not worth the money to list there. I was lucky to sell 1 or 2 books a month at the end, when I finally closed my account with them. Your best bet is eBay or Amazon, that’s were most of my book sales are. Alibris has a deal where you pay $20 a year plus on each sale you pay 15% plus a $2.60 fee. You can also try Bonanza. You can sync your eBay account with your Bonanza account so there’s no extra work on uploading items to their site. I sell more on Bonanza than Alibris. There’s also Biblio. I haven’t sold there so no idea how sales are or what the costs are.
05/26/2021 at 10:50 pm in reply to: Appears to be a PC Card video breakout cable: can anyone identify the brand? #88896Had my son, the AV/IT guy, take a look. He says it looks like some sort of proprietary plug for a card bus device used in older laptops. Something like this: margi display to go
Here’s what sonny had to say: “It’s probably used for a second monitor or a capture device. I’m leaning more towards the second monitor option since most early 2000’s laptops didn’t always have a VGA or video adapter port. That is my best guess. With the double headed VGA thing, it could be for some sort of camera where you monitoring the feed from it too. ”
If you find out what it goes to, please post it because sonny is now curious too. lol
Pill box is what came to mind when I saw it.
Here’s a similar one I found on Google images:

Book dealer here. I second using addall.com/used/. If it’s not listed there then try googling the books. I have found that some older books just aren’t listed for sale anywhere and you’ll have to make up a price. I groaned where I read that they were in the basement. No fun hauling that many books up a flight of stairs. I’d list the political stuff first. We’ve been selling lots of those lately.
I just played with mine. If I use “custom label” “is equal to” it doesn’t work. If I use “custom label” “contains” it work fine for me.
I know they started gatekeeping CD’s and DVD’s due to counterfeits. I’m not sure why they’re now doing books.
One theory on the Amazon Seller Forum is that the bots have confused these book publishers with some music publishers that have similar names. Guess we’ll find out in a week if the listings disappear or not. I checked out a couple of my book listings from these publishers and I am now gated from listing them.
Same thing has been happening to me the last few days. Frustrating as heck!

How about using unscented Febreze? (Free Nature is the unscented version. ) It actually neutralizes the odor, it doesn’t just mask it. The only thing I don’t know is if it will do any harm to the electronics. Maybe Steve can weigh in on this topic. Or, I’ve used kitty litter to get the odor out of books. You make an enclosed box for the item, put a lot of kitty litter and let if sit for a few days.
Looks like poker dice to me.
And now, I’m craving a nice cup of cinnamony Mexcian hot chocolate even though it’s 110 degrees outside. lol
They’re vases, aren’t they? My grandma had small vases like that. She used them for shorter cut flowers from her garden.
It’s a molinillo or a Mexican Chocolate whisk. It’s for making Mexican hot chocolate. I’ve got a couple at home.
Something that crossposts to Amazon and Ebay.
